A purposely built and the largest tertiary cardiac center serving the
Western province of Saudi Arabia. It is a referring center for coronary
intervention and cardiac surgery. The hospital performs over 4000
cardiac procedures shared between four interventional cardiologists
and up to 400 cardiac bypass surgeries per year. It has three cardiac
cath. labs, four full time cardiac surgeons. 24/7 PCI service. It is JCI
accredited.
Duties and Responsibilities
• I’m actively involved in performing scheduled diagnostic
angiographies and interventional procedures via Radial approach
supported by IVUS, OCT and FFR.
• We Offer our patients with acute Coronary Syndromes around the
O’clock primary and Rescue PCI on arrival to our hospital within time
frame of 60 minutes from arrival to hospital, with full back up from 4 full
time cardiac surgeons
• The cardiac unit accept referrals from near-by and remote Hospitals

This was one of the turning points in my career in cardiology and great opportunity to
catch up with the new changes in the field of interventional cardiology; I have
changed to be a “Radial Approach” operator in performing coronary angiography
procedures and even in the management and treatment of acute myocardial infarction
(Primary PCI). I have also a great opportunity in participating for 6 consecutive years
in “Hajj Murabatah” which added a tremendous experience to my cardiology practice
in term of quality and quantity of cardiology services while caring for thousands of
pilgrimages who fallen ill during rituals of Hajj. I have performed over 4000 PCI
procedures
