I am responsible for:
1. Structural design of buildings (commercial & residential type), warehouses, machine foundation design.
2. Preparation of design calculation reports
3. Review of structural design submitted by other consultant.
4. Site projects coordination
1) As Sr. Engineer (Structures) I was assigned the tasks to visit the sites of earthquake affected areas for assessment of the damaged buildings including schools & other government buildings for which a detailed report of the damage assessment were then prepared. These reports included the damaged pictures and their solutions either to retrofit or to re-construct the buildings.
2) As Senior Engineer, I also worked in the contracts section for two years. This section dealt with all the contractual matters of various projects including buildings, roads, bridges and infrastructure in the earthquake affected areas of AJK & KPK, Pakistan. In this section, I was working on evaluation of bids submitted by contractors. The bids were evaluated first technically & then financially. Besides bids evaluation, I was also working on variation orders, extension of time, Termination cases, Taking over certificate, final payment certificate and was assisting in resolving site contractual problems and claims submitted by the contractors. All projects were based on FIDIC-IV contract type.
1)- Providing and checking the layout.
2)- Checking the quality of material used by the contractor.
3)- Conducting various laboratory tests to check the quality of materials.
4)- Checking the quantity of work done and verifying it on site.
5)- Checking the shop drawings submitted by the contractor.
6)- Checking the bills submitted by the contractor
7)- Provide input to the monthly progress report as directed by the Project Manager
1)- BOQs / preparation of the estimates and finding the quality of materials and probable cost of various of items of work in construction.
2)- Preparation of drawings using the software Auto CAD.
3)- Supervision of a local building construction at site
