(Project Execution / Shutdown Manager)
Manage direct and indirect coordination for projects and sites activity with responsibility for the execution of the project in compliance with all contractual requirements.
Worked as project manager, site manager and execution manager in Qatar Gas plants, Ras Gas Laffan Refinery, QP refineries and Dolphin Energy gas plants in shutdowns of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and EPC project on these plants.
Coordination in conjunction with the Project Management Team to development and establishment of the project planning package together with the mechanisms for monitoring subsequent progress against actual plan. Ensure that corrective action is agreed and implemented at the appropriate level as and when variations from plans occur can be identify.
The resourcing requirements for respective project segments, including staff and equipment to ensure that these are accurate and realistic and that any necessary steps needed to supply resources have been arranged.
Act as the Company’s official representative with clients, suppliers, partners and third party contractors negotiating terms and conditions where necessary, ensuring that Company interests are both optimized and protected.
Review contract / tendering documentation, to ensure a thorough understanding of the contract requirements and direct preliminary planning stages as necessary.
Review Safety, QA/QC, project plans with respective functional heads and submit to client for approval.
Maintain under regular review, the demobilization plans of the workforce and plant as the project progresses in order to facilitate the relocation of the workforce and the further utilization and disposal of equipment’s
Monitor performance of suppliers and subcontractors to determine compliance with contractual obligations. Resolve issues arising from disputes or sub-standard performance.
Monitor payments from clients and initiate payments to suppliers and sub-contractors ensuring all terms and conditions have been met.

Review of Spare parts availability of all rotating / static equipments including compressor, boilers, steam turbines, Gas turbines, pumps, valves, blowers chillers etc.
To generate the stock set up forms for new / amended stock levels in SAP system for new procurement,
and to maintain / revised the existing stock levels and reorder points as per new requirements.
Coordination with mechanical engineers / supervisors for daily site mechanical activities and problems in respect of
Spare parts, technical problems and vendor services.
Planning / execution and coordination with OEM/vendors for major overhauling schedules of main equipment
Like off gas compressors. Steam turbines, Gas Turbine and other equipment gas plant equipments.
To review and check the availability of spare parts from SAP. before to start the major overhauling of any
equipment and arrange if required.
Supervised the overhauling activities at site with vendor and mechanical supervisor to complete the job as
per schedule and within budget..
To check the daily notifications and work order for routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective
Maintenance and break downs through SAP.
To check and follow up of purchase requisitions and work order from SAP and procurements departments
so that martial should available for emergency job / plan jobs.
Technical completion of work orders (TECO) in SAP system on which job have been completed.
Preparation of engineering service requests (ESR, s) after review of operation supports requests (OSR, s).
Analyzed the operation supports requests (OSR, s) received from operation and generate the engineering service request,
requests as per requirements, justifications and recommendations.
Study the improvement suggestions (IS) and make its justification, recommendation.
Preparation of corrective action form (CAR) for concerned departments.

Inspection of mechanical material arrived in warehouse against generated purchase orders.
Responsibilities: Worked with Dewan Salman Polyester Plants as Manager Operations/Maintenance of Power Plants & Utilities. These plants contains the maintenance and operation of Gas Engines having capacities of 1 MW to 3 MW, Steam Turbines having capacity of 3 MW to 7.5 MW, Funance/Diseil Engines having capacities of 1 MW to 2 MW, Water Tube and Fire Tube Boilers having capacities of 3 Tons/hr to 80 Tons/hr, at pressure of 16 Bar to 65 Bar. Compressors, Air handling units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment Plants, Nitrogen Plants, Heavy duty pumps, Watar Turbines. The total capacity of power generation were 35 MWs.
Main responsibilities were:
i) Supervise the daily operations and maintenance of above equipment’s.
ii) Follow up with store, planning and purchase departments regarding material procurement.
iii) Raise purchase indent for local / imported spare parts of equipment’s.
iv) Implementation of preventive master maintenance schedules and checklist of all equipment’s.
v) Development and implementation of work standard in according with company policy.
vi) Co-ordination between other inter departments and main workshop for repair work.
vii) Monitor requirement of manpower, spare parts and tool’s.
Responsibilities: Worked in Abu-Dhabi Polyethylene plant for turn around / shut down maintenance of utilities equipments with contains Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, and other equipment’s. This shut down also contains the maintenance of power plant, polyethylene unit, reactors, dryers, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, furnaces, and other rotary equipments on behalf of Descon Engineering Pakistan
Responsibilities: Worked as Erection / Commissioning Engineer with Descon Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd.For the Erection & Commissioning of four units of Hubco Thermal Power Plant (Karachi) having the capacity of 323 x 4 MW. Main responsibilities were the coordination of erection & Commissioning activities of the plants at site.
Main responsibilities were:
i) Supervision of erection activities.
ii) Scheduling and planning of erection and commissioning activities.
iii) Co-ordination with company and clients for material, man power and tools.
iv) Ensuring of the work quality standards as per client requirement.
v) Ensuring of the completion of the project with in given time frame.
Responsibilities: Worked with Rupali polyester plants for the maintenance of utilities equipments and diesel generators for power plant which contains the cooling towers, air conditioning units, heat exchangers, compressors, Chillers and Boilers, etc.
