Statoil is a fully integrated petroleum company with production operations in thirteen countries and retail operations in eight. Statoil is one of the world's largest oil and gas companies.

Statoil is aiming for installation and trenching of 660 km of seismic sensor cables on the seabed of Snorre and Grane fields in order to build two permanent reservoir monitoring systems. This is a unique project as it requires masses of high-tech material with excellent reliability, and a high-speed installation in harsh weathers of Norwegian Sea. After a competitive bidding, Geospace Technologies was awarded the contract for fabrication of the topside equipment, riser, and sensor cables.

My main responsibilities included:
- Working with all project stakeholders in order to develop, review, modify, and publish the Project Schedule.
- Studying the feed and study reports received from potential installation and fabrication Contractors, preparing, updating, and presenting a comparison report for the project manager and project asset owners.
- Collaborating with the bid evaluation team, evaluating the tenders and participating in the meetings with tenderers to discuss their Project Schedules.
- Identifying the critical path and problem areas in advance in order to ensure effective action.

Archer Well is a global EPC contractor specialized in drilling services, well services, and topside and subsea modification projects, with more than 8, 500 employees.

Archer Well was awarded by Statoil the work for topside modification of Statfjord B and Statfjord C platforms in the Norwegian Sea. The project comprises of Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, and Commissioning work for modification of pipe-handling system on both platforms.

My responsibilities included:
- Planning & monitoring of all engineering, procurement, construction, and installation activities.
- Preparation of Project Schedule Baseline.
- Liaising with the Client and the Consultant regarding the projects' schedule and execution plan.
- Reporting to the Project Manager.
- Preparation and submission of variations and claims related to the Schedule.
- Preparing and submission of weekly and monthly progress reports to the Client.
- Manpower & resources planning for different activities.
- Coordination with Resource department for the proper and timely mobilization of resources.
- Monitoring progress as per planned S-Curve.

Aibel is an EPC contractor in oil and gas industry. The company has around 5, 000 employees in Norway and abroad, working on fields and facilities, both onshore and offshore.

The project that I was involved in, was a top side modification project called: Troll A Living Quarter Extension. Troll A is one of the biggest platforms in the North sea and the main goal of the project was to increase the living quarters on the platform from 60 to 210 living quarters. This was a big size project and I was working as part of a planning team consisted of 5 planners.

As the Fabrication/Installation Detail Project Planner on the contractor side, I was responsible for:

- Day to day communication with the fabrication site and installation team to monitor the progress of work.
- Preparation of detail level schedules for fabrication and installation.
- Preparation and updating of weekly rolling programme.
- Preparation of procurement plans.
- Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly progress reports.

During the second and third years of my work, I was also responsible for:

- Updating the Procurement Plan.
- Helping the Engineering and Commissioning Planners with updating the plans, and reports.
