• Spearhead the development and execution of the AUE library's long-term strategic plan, aligning it with the university's academic goals and vision. Provide visionary leadership to a team of librarians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Mentor and train library staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring a knowledgeable and customer-focused team. Stay abreast of emerging library trends and technologies, providing staff with opportunities for skill development.

• Serve as a Subject Librarian to a group of academic departments in School of Science and Humanities with responsibilities for delivering a program of instruction, consultation, and research support services.
• Liaison with faculty and administrators concerning future academic directions, programmatic needs, and changes in course offerings that may impact how the Library supports the department/program.
• Provides reference, readers' advisory, and referral services to patrons, in person and Online; provides technical/reference support to staff; performs manual and automated bibliographic searches.
• Plans and prepares bibliographies; performs routines and procedures related to manual and automated interlibrary loans and other referral services; maintains familiarity with the collection, recommends materials to be added, using standard library selection tools

Carry out research and publication works in the field of expertise of the position holder, and mentor junior staff in research and publication.
Teaching and Programme Development, including research, preparing and designing of programmes and courses; teaching a number of courses/units in the academic programmes, administering the courses/units taught; participation in the complete administration of the courses/units/programmes; and student counseling and guidance.
