Dubai International Airport (DIA) Project Concourse III as Mechanical Engineer
• Overall management for all site activities/inspections with providing technical direction and assistance for the site engineers in interpreting the design drawings and to ensure complying with project specifications and standards in addition to approval of site works.
• Factory and showrooms visits for suppliers and subcontractors' technical evaluation and prequalification’s approval.
• Monitor the installations related to Building Management Systems (BMS) and insure that all control points monitor/control as per the tender documents have been properly interfaced with the BMS.
• Reviewing contractor’s value engineering proposals and anticipating construction ability reviews.
• Reviewing and approving material submittals, shop drawings and replying the site clarification requests.
• Following project progress and updating of time schedule with planner to ensure that works are built to the required milestone.
• Preparing weekly/monthly reports.
• Reviewing contractor’s monthly payment certificate.
• Evaluating contractor’s claims/variations against conditions of contract and reviewing the final assessments prepared by Q.S.
• Coordinating works with Employers’ representative and contactors management/construction team in daily basis.
• Ensure implementing HSE plans within the project premises
• Supervising handing over process including testing and commissioning and preparation of close out documents.
Up Town Cairo project as mechanical infra structure quality control engineer responsible for:
•Reviewing of shop drawing, calculations and submittals.
•Inspection for the equipments including (plumbing, domestic water, fire fighting and sub soil) systems and super vision of site activities .inspections done as per project specification and manufacture recommendations and safety requirements.
•Inspection of the materials including
- Pipelines: Polyethylene up to D =630 mm, UPVC up to D = 630 mm, GRP up to D = 900 mm
- Valves: (butterfly, Gate and PRV valves with PN= 16 bar
- Pre-cast manholes: (D= 120 mm and D=150 mm)
-Fire hydrant, and fire extinguisher) in coordination with quality control manager as per project specification of mechanical systems in the project.
•Supervision The erection and installation of MEP work according to project specifications / approved drawing / manufacture recommendation
•Inspection and testing (gravity and hydrostatic test) for all sewer, water and irrigation pipeline and preparing them for initial test to be handed-over for the consultant engineer representative.
•Preparation for methods of statement for (installation, insulation, and repair) in addition to preparation for (IR) inspection request, (MIR) material inspection request to be send to consultant and all required documents such as (RFI) request for info..... etc
•Coordination with other disciplines on all technical issues and clarifications
•Coordination between mechanical designs with structure, and electrical designs
In Jumerah Park project which was about 2700 villas as a Mechanical engineer responsible for:
-Review of contractors shop drawing, calculations and submittals.
-Inspection for MEP equipments including (HVAC, plumbing, domestic water, LPG, fire fighting) systems and super vision of site activities .inspections done as per project specification and manufacture recommendations.
-Reviewing of the MEP materials in coordination with senior engineer as per project specification of mechanical systems in the project
-Supervision The erection and installation of MEP work according to project specifications / approved drawing / manufacture recommendation
-Coordination with other disciplines on all technical issues and clarifications
-Coordination between mechanical designs with structure, architecture and electrical designs.
In the satisfactory as maintenance Mechanical engineer for all production machines Responsible for
• Scheduling periodic preventive maintenance of the units and following up the implementation
• Following up the daily performance of the technicians assessing the damage and possibility of self -reform
• Following up the performance of each equipment
• Prepare a report for a routine follow-up stations
