Knowledge and Skills Acquired: Expertise in copyediting business-relevant press releases from the Middle East, thereby giving exposure to a vast knowledge of companies and their activities in 14 countries in the Middle East in areas of travel and tourism, banking and finance, education and healthcare, manufacturing, retail, telecoms and technology, and transport among others; Knowledge on how online media works and ability to use Content Management System and Adobe Photoshop.
Responsibilities: Daily management of company news releases to be uploaded online; monitoring, proofreading and editing of press releases, when necessary; copyediting headlines and captions for SEO purposes, when required; deciding top/ banner stories for daily company newsletters; resizing graphic/ images using Adobe Photoshop; assigning news releases to staffs for uploading on a timely manner; updating the site for business coverage from various media; and occasionally contributing articles in the website's analysis section, particularly on 'green' businesses in the Middle East.
