• Oversee assembly, disassembly, maintenance, repair & overhaul of Aerial Refueling Engine of IL-78 Aircraft / Modules and Turbo Fan Engine (TFE-731 of Honeywell, USA) similar to
C-17 Aircraft Engine
• On wing support and line maintenance support provided to IL-78 Aircraft
• Maintenance, repair & refurbishment of Gear / Turbo Pump, Fuel Filters, Hydraulic Actuators / Accumulators, Check / Solenoid Valves, Regulators, Turbine / Guide Vane Assembly, Fuel Lines and validation / verification testing of the components
• Document procedures and established processes to ensure availability of repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results
• Oversee training & formulation of Technical Publications for UPAZ Assembly / Disassembly
• Aircraft launch and recovery, Ground Handling, Engines’ Operations & Line / Hanger Maintenance as per OEM, PAF Regulations & Mill Standards
• Inspection, assemble, disassemble, modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aircraft / engine components to correct failures or implement changes as per instructions
• Aircraft engine ground testing / supervision after scheduled & unscheduled maintenance
• Tracking of aircraft engines / associated components’ life and maintained related documents
• Troubleshoot complex aircraft and engine systems to isolate faults and repair faulty components. Also inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements
• Establishment, implementation & maintenance of Automated Tools Management System
• Review, consolidation & finalize Repair Capability List, Master Repair List & Master Repair Schedule of aircraft components on quarter & annual basis
• Prepare and finalize Net Future Requirements of spares to meet the repair / overhaul targets
• Preparation of presentations for production meetings
• Well equipped with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Factory Inventory Management System and troubleshooting / maintenance of computers & printer
• Balancing, Assembling / Dis-assembling, Minor/ Major Repair, Blades’ Frequency Check, Baroscopic / Visual Inspection of Compressors & Turbines Rotors.
• Operation & maintenance of Schenk Dynamic Balancing Machine, Frequency Tester, Overhead Crane, Grinder, Precision Measuring Equipments e.t.c.
• Disassembly & assembly of engines /assemblies
• Ball / Roller Bearings’ inspection, assembling & dis-assembling.
• Responsible for providing on job training to new as well as untrained technicians
