(2014) Ferro Gilan Steel Company (FGC) is going to extent the available plant. The extension project is
erection of a steel making and casting plant and related utilities. The main contractor is AnSteel
Company (Chinese Co)
I am the consultant of FGC company. I reviewed the electrical parts of the proposal of AnSteel and participated in the clarification meeting with the contractor.

1) Material handling and storage of VIAN steel company (2012~2014)
The plant is near Hamedan city. The project is to add a new material handling and storage system
based on DRI feeding to EAF.
I prepared all electrical diagram, layout, single line diagram, MTO, enquiry documents of switchgears, lighting, earthing, UPS, and cabling system. Also I prepared purchasing documents and reviewed the electrical manufacturer documents.
2) Kaveh Direct Reduction plant (2011)
I prepared the termination diagram, interconnecting cable list, interlock and inter-trip diagrams of the electrical distribution network.
3) Designing electrical panel and control system of two transfer cars of steel factory of Varamin steel

SOMIC is the consultant of some steel projects.
I am working in SOIMC as consultant and also designer of electrical systems of steel making projects
including: 1) South Kaveh Steel (SKS) Company.
Contractors of the project were ITRITEC (Iranian-Spanish Co), IDOM (Spanish Co.) and Sarralle
(Spanish Co) . The plant will produce one million tons billet in phase 1. The plant location is near
Bandarabbass city.
My major activities were reviewing basic and detailed design document submitted by IDOM and
Sarralle, issuing comment sheets and debating regarding them in the meeting.
Also the project comprised some utility systems. I reviewed the documents and drawings prepared by other subcontractors of SKS utilities.
Moreover, designing electrical substation of main sea water system, RO3 and box culvert of the project
including preparing single line diagrams of MV and LV switchgears, UPS, battery charger, designing
20kV transmission line, diesel generator, electrical lighting and socket layouts and cable routes of the utility system were my activities.
Beside the utility of SKS project, I was the lead of designer team of electrical distribution system of the plant including EAF, LF, CCM, meltshop and intermediate substation. The design jobs include
preparing detailed design document of MV and LV switchgears, cable route layout, battery chargers,
UPS, transformers, system study, cable list, MTOs, and enquiry documents. I reviewed the supplier
documents and drawings also of the relating packages.


2) Khoramshahr steel rolling project
My major activities are designing a 63kV transmission line from generation plant to the steel rolling
plant.


3) Sangan Pelletizing Project
The plant will produce 2.5Million tons pellets annually. The main contractor is Fakoor sanaat Co.
I reviewed the electrical basic drawings produced by Fakoor sanaat Co. including technical
specification and single line drawings.

documents and feasibility study of electrical parts of steel factories and oil, and gas plants
1) Hormozgan Steel Complex: Hormozgan Steel project includes steel making and casting, and utilities. Contractor of the project are a consortium comprising IRITEC, SMS INSE (ITALIAN Co.), IRASCO (ITALIAN Co.) and SMS
SIEMAG (GERMAN Co.) . Location of the project is near Bandarabbass city in Hormozgan state. Aim of the plant is to produce 1.5Milion tons steel slab in a year. (Project budget Approx. 1B$)
My Major activities were: a) Head of electrical engineering team. Activities include designing a variety of LV & MV
switchgears, Power Centers (PC), Distribution Boards (DB), Motor Control Centers (MCCs),
preparing cabling documents and cable routing layout, termination diagrams, lighting and earthing systems, fire alarm system, CCTV, paging and telephone system, lightning system and
etc and preparing documents for tenders. I prepared all type of cable route and cabling
document including cable list, cable schedule, cable drums, MTOs, cable route layout and section, cable termination and etc. Conducting the electrical power group of Hormozgan Steel
Project to prepare and complete all aforementioned documents was my duty. I built an appropriate software to size some parts of MCCs and Switchgears, and cables, preparing some
kind of MTOs and using Visual Basic. Also I was the leading engineer of relay coordination
setting team of the plant.
b) Inspection of electrical equipment. Participating in the inspection team of electrical panels,
trays, transformers and etc as supervisor of the test and inspection.
c) Deputy of electrical and instrumentation project manager. Leading and coordinating the project supervisors and erection subcontractors.
d) Commissioning electrical equipment. Commissioning electrical panels, protection relays, soft-

starters, inverters, mobile cars, transformers, motors, and etc and also checking and modifying
relay protection set points and electrical circuit diagrams.
e) Operation of electrical substations. Leading and supervising the team of electrical substation
operators.
f) Coordinating electrical and instrumentation supervisors team during guaranty period. I
was the coordinator of electrical and instrumentation department to complete the jobs of the project, removing punches, preparing erection and commissioning completion certificates,
investigating sub-contractors invoices, negotiating with other parties, consultant, and client regarding claims and so on. Also I was the lead of a team that prepared the as built of electrical and instrumentation drawings.
g) Electrical lead engineer of HOSCO extension project. The activities include investigating the electrical network configuration, single line diagrams and layout and also modification of the
furnaces to reach to 3Milion tons of products.
2) Feasibility study
a) Preparing electrical and automation part of technical feasibility study of Khoramshahr steel
project. The project belongs to Rolling and Pipe Mills Company. The project is to build a steel
making and casting plant to produce 800, 000 tons slab or billet pre year.
b) Preparing electrical and automation part of technical feasibility study of Gambroon steel
project. The project is to build a steel making and casting plant to produce 800, 000 tons slab
annually.


3) Ardakan Graphite Electrode.
Project aim is to build a plant to manufacture EAF and LF furnace graphite electrode.
I investigated the documents of main power transformers and electrical documents of the utilities.
Also I review the manufacturer documents and drawings of some electrical equipment.


4) Preparing bid documents and drawings
I was included in the team preparing the bid documents and drawings of different tenders as the lead of electrical department of steel making and casting department of IRITEC. The tenders include: a) Sirjan steel complex
b) Dena steel company
c) 5th casting line of Mobarakeh steel complex
d) Oxygen plant and lime plant of Khorasan steel complex
e) New demin water for Mobarakeh steel complex
My activities include preparing MTO for all electrical systems of the a.m. plants and also the price
break down of the bid electrical part.


5) 5th casting line of Mobarakeh Steel Complex
The project is to prepare engineering documents and drawings, procurement, and construction of the 5th continuous casting machine of Mobarakeh steel complex (Project budget is approximately 200M$)
SMS INSE and SMS SIEMAG are IRITEC subcontractor to design the casting line.
I am the electrical lead engineer of the project. Leading electrical designers, checking all electrical
engineering drawing and documents, preparing procurement engineering documents, coordinating between the parties in electrical fields were my duties in the projects.


6) NGL Kharg: Client of the project was IOOC (budget approximately was 1.2B$) . IRITEC was the main contractor of the project. The plant comprises two NGL sections and utilities to refine natural gas.
My activities included preparing some cable route layout, cable list and cable schedule documents for utilities and also designing single line diagram of one temporary LV panel for this area of the project.


7) Binak Desulting Plant: The plant aim is to refine crude oil. IRITEC was the main contractor of the plant. (Budget was
approximately 20 Million $)
My major activities were preparing some lighting layouts for whole areas of the projects, MTO of lighting material, and installation details of the outdoor lighting system and also preparing purchasing
documents including enquiry document and etc

In the project, I mainly worked on switchgears (LV, MV), Logic and Schematic Diagrams of SWGs,
cabling including cable sizing, cable routing and other related documents, UPS system and non-electrical
packages. Also, I had parepared lighting system and power generating system layout and diagrams. In order to prepare documents related to cabling and switchgear, I prepare software to do the jobs easily. Cable
sizing is carried out by using MATLAB software and considering the most restrict limitation of cable
sizing procedure. The documents related to cable routing had been prepared by Visual Basic (VB) software.
Moreover, some documents such as Cable Schedule, Cable List, and Data Sheets of Switchgears were
prepared by using VB software.
