• As an Inward Facultative manager, my main role is to develop various lines of business (LOB) in international market including 1st POE underwriting, Relationship development and servicing of existing and new.
• On every new enquiry for marine (cargo and Hull) do the primary risk assessment and check if the risk meets company risk appetite. Once it is feasible to write the risk, to present risk to lead underwriter, with pre-underwriting analysis, including loss records. risk summary & client’s brief
• Working collaboratively with marine team, assisting underwriters with Pleasure crafts, Hull, and cargo accounts
• Gather, organize and record information supporting the underwriting decision.
• To reconcile RI closings/Transactions with cedants/Reinsurance brokers and in-house Finance and accounts team.
• To assist underwriters/operational team in calculating facultative business spread and closings the bookings.
• Visiting cedants/reinsurance brokers/conferences /workshops to develop networking and rapport for business growth.
• Trained to be a marine underwriter (Producer underwriter) and had an authority to write the risk within pre-defined guidelines/license.
• Achieve agreed production targets by action plans & developing broker relationships.
• Negotiate with the brokers/cedants to reach positive and profitable outcome.
• Provide administrative support to underwriters in accordance with agreed service level.
• Admistrative functions and problem solving for claims, operations and accounting.
1 .Working as a Medical Underwriter in the Production department.
2. Preparing Health insurance policies and issuing cards for the members.
3. Coordinating with various insurance companies who are acting as agent for Mednet.
Union Insurance Company.
4. Joined recently with the Quality team to monitor the policies underwritten.
• As a trainer my main responsibilities was to train new joiners for call handling and customer service.
• Provide the team with product knowledge and give appropriate sales skills.
• Guide the team to collect data and generate more sales.
• Give them approval for discounts and other related decision (such as agency cover).
• Sending daily Sales MIS to Sr. Operation manage.
Motor Underwriter
• Managing tie up with RAK Bank for motor insurance, take care of customers referred through the Bank & issuing policies for them.
• Confirming rates, giving approvals, discount etc
• Calling ADCB customers to offer Insurance Products from Oman Insurance Co (ADCB had a tie up with Oman Insurance Company)
• Making required sales on daily basis to achieve monthly targets.
Cert CII
Graduation in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics with distinction.
I was a Topper from my college and hold certificate for both the years (2 year course)
