Johnny and Jugnu is a fast-food restaurant chain with 9 outlets across Pakistan. I was responsible for heading the following tasks:

Accounts Payable:
Leading the Accounts payable team ensuring weekly and monthly closing.
Approving purchase vouchers ensuing payables are being recorded after three-way matching.
Reconciling vendor ledgers on quarterly basis.
Ensuring all accruals are recorded on monthly basis and closing the GL in ERP.
Preparing weekly and monthly reports and sharing them with senior management on a specified format.

Accounts Receivable:
Leading Accounts receivable team and ensuring weekly and monthly closing.
Ensuring all accruals of sales are being made on time.
Ensuring receipts from customers as per agreed credit terms and approving receipt vouchers as per agreed
SOPs.
Making credit card reconciliation for sales as per company records and settlements reports & keeping a master
sheet of reconciliations.
Reconciliation of sales with food delivery platforms (Foodpanda & Cheetay) and company records and ensuring
all transactions are accounted for and compensations for canceled and waste orders are being given as per
agreed terms by formally raising disputes on a weekly basis.

Treasury:
Heading the treasury department ensuring all receipts and payments are accounted for in ERP.
Approving payment vouchers ensuring vendor payments as per agreed credit terms and method methods
(Cheque, pay order, Online bank transfer or Cash).
Keeping proper records of cash and bank payments and receipt vouchers and ensuring proper documentation
of supporting evidence and approvals.
Preparing bank reconciliation statements on a weekly basis.
Receiving daily closing of sales from branches on a specific format showing each category of sale separately
with signatures of branch Lead. (Cash, Credit Card, Employee Tabs, Home Delivery etc.)
Preparing cash and bank reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Other Responsibilities:
Managing team of 8 persons in accounts department.
Reporting weekly reports for all departments. i.e. Accounts payable, Accounts receivables, Treasury and other
ad-hoc reports.
Preparing monthly budget and actualizing the budget at the end of the month and identifying reason of variance
and improving the variance for future.
Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payment processes, ensuring smooth
operations and adherence to financial guidelines.
