Assists faculty and staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. Also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment. The positions responsibilities require independent analyses, communication, and problem-solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment. Key Responsibilities: Desktop Support calls - PCs and Peripherals Domain Access and E-mail registration Administering Active Directory PC system installation, setup and configuration Network maintenance and troubleshooting Administrators plus support IT-Network Maps (including university maps) Laptop-Projector setup for Presentations Testing of new application updates IT orientation of new Staff Additional Responsibilities: Created the initial Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the IT Support Team. Assisted the Web Application developer team for more than 8 months in developing and enhancing the in-house application using PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL. Additionally, I contributed to developing and enhancing applications and maintaining them in PowerApps and Power Automate.
Provides academic assistance for undergraduate students in various engineering disciplines to acquire a better understanding of targeted weak areas within a subject.
Helps users solve their problems through a single (or multiple) point of contact.
Help students in doing their lab and understand it.
