 Responsible for carrying out all product receipt and delivery operations from oil tanker to terminal Storage Facility and vice versa ( i.e. tanker berthing, sampling and gauging tanker’s tanks, Marine Loading arms connection/disconnection, Communicating with ship for loading/discharge operations ) as per ISGOTT standards.
 Involve in products value addition operations/blending of oil products.

I have worked at National Refinery Limited as Operations Engineer (Oil Movement, Keamari Terminal).Major Responsibilities included handling of imported crude oil, Naphtha export and Lube base oil tankers, keep liaison with Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), Dock Master and Surveying companies regarding Naphtha, Crude Oil and Lube Base Oil Tanker handling, monitoring loading and decantation operations of Naphtha and Lube Base Oil tank lorries, pumping of PMG, Naphtha, JP-1,
JP-8, Kerosene, HSD, LDO and Fuel Oil to Oil Marketing companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Supervise and monitor the smooth and safe discharge of crude oil tanker into shore tanks.
 Supervise, monitor and control the safe and efficient loading operation of Export Naphtha and Lube Base Oil (LBO) into tanker by monitoring tanks’ Ullage, pump discharge rates etc.
 Interactions and dealing with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) for products dispatching, calculating issued quantities in custody transfer.
 Prepare monthly production report containing receipt of Local and imported crude, Storage quantities of Crude and Oil Products, dispatch quantities of products to OMCs and product export, Oil quantity loss as a result of Evaporation and Ocean loss.
 Prepare a variety of daily and other periodic operations and activity reports, daily jobs list and sent them to assigned maintenance departments.
 Ensure that the company’s Health & Safety & Environmental (HSE) Policies and Procedures are adhered to within the workforce.
 Fully aware of permit to work system, HSE Regulations, Emergencies response plans.
 Carry out 60/60 calculations of Crude Oil, Export Naphtha and Lube Base Oil Tankers, Local 85 degree calculations for White Oil (MS, HSD, JP-1, JP-8 etc).

Inspector at DRUM Risk Management

I have worked in Drum Risk Management as Inspector. My responsibilities included the inspection and calculation of consignments via ASTM and IP Standards, also the inspection of non-cargo tanks including vessel’s fuel oil tanks for any trace of products, co-ordination with terminal authority for inspection of tank, pipeline and valve to be used, Inspection of terminal pipelines for leaks and seal valves to secure tank contents, also monitoring and supervising of discharging operation, preparation, verification, and examination of cargo ladings, oil transportation to marketing companies and weighbridge records.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Carry out inspection of Vessel as per client’s requirements.
 Responsible in safeguarding client’s interest and the integrity of the Vessel.
 Interfacing with both vessel and Storage Terminal for smooth operations.
 Comply at all times with the vessel’s and terminal Safety Rules and Regulation in the performance of assignments.
 Act as expediter to both vessel and terminal. In the event of abnormal shortage, investigation is conducted to both shore and vessel sides.
 Responsible for checking and calculating the amount of quantity received from vessel to shore tanks and amount of quantity dispatched.
 Responsible for inspection of truck for loading and supervising the loading operation.
 Prepare detailed field reports as required by the clients and noting down all movements detrimental to the operations to eliminate claims.
 Maintain the confidentiality of the company’s procedures, reports, service rates.
 Prepare and send “Situation Report” mentioning the political situation, issues and any incident in the storage facility.

Graduate Trainee Engineer at Pakistan Refinery Limited

I started my professional career as Graduate Trainee Engineer (Supply and Oil Movement ) from Pakistan Refinery Limited. My responsibilities included the smooth and safe transportation of crude from Jetties to Keamari terminal and then to refinery at Korangi, also the distribution of finished products to oil marketing companies like PSO (Pakistan State Oil), Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) and Chevron (Caltex) Pakistan Limited. I am well aware of all calculations and operations involved in oil movement department including Gantry, Local crude Decanting, Tanker operations, interactions and dealing with marketing companies, Work permit system, 60/60 and 85 Degree (Local Petroleum Products) calculations, Chemical Blending for preparations of Jet Fuels etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Overall inventory control from crude oil plant feed to finished products dispatching to OMC’s.
 Calculate and optimize the injection quantities of Chemicals used in End Products (JP-1, JP-8, HSD and F.Oil) to keep the quality as per standards.
 Prepare daily summary sheet containing oil movement and storage quantities (i.e. stock, Ullage, plant feed, issued, receipt, and product supply plan).
 Carry out different design and process calculations i.e. pump rating, evaporation losses in tanks, fire alarm switches etc.
 Supervise and monitor loading and unloading of fuel oil and local crude bowsers (trucks).
 Prepare, verify and maintain fuel oil loaded and local crude received quantities and weighbridge documents.
 Participate in the preparation of the department budget with particular reference to non routine operating and capital budget.
 Suggest plant change modifications and review of PFDs and P&IDs for recommendation.
 Liaise with external auditors and provide required documents/information.
