Bristol’s product range include firefighting hoses, hydrants, valves, cabinets, extinguishers, fire detection and alarm systems, foam systems, suppression systems, fire doors, pumps, and other equipment.
Having started as a product support engineer for one division, I have climbed my way up to leading an entire team of engineers supporting four divisions - Firefighting Equipment, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, and Fire Suppression Systems.
•Design & Estimation
Oversee design and estimation for Foam Systems, Water Spray Systems, Water Mist Systems, Preaction Sprinkler Systems, Clean Agent Systems
Ensure design standards are according to the Local Civil Defense requirements
•Product Development and Cost Control
Receive requests for new product development from sales team
Review market’s technical & cost requirement for the new product
Prospect and vet for new vendors, send RFQ’s. negotiate prices and terms
Build cost comparison sheets and analysis reports
Apply for product testing and certification
Determine price positioning for products
Issue reference pricelists for sales team
Maintains the knowledge base for production and sales
Technical Data Sheets and Engineering Drawings
Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals
Bill of Materials and Vendor List
Reference Standards, QA Policies and SOP’s
•Engineering & Technical Support
Review RFQ documents (BOQ, specifications, schedules) to meet customer’s need
Prepare technical submittals and compliance statements
Liaise with sales team regarding time scales for RFQ’s
Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
Communicate directly to customers for escalated technical issues
Ensure proper documentations and closure of all issues
•Ad-Hoc Responsibilities
o Marketing
Prepare annual product catalogue updates/revisions both hardcopies and website content
Arrange exhibit materials for the annual Intersec, Big5, and other conventions
o Commissioning
Act on escalated Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Systems commissioning projects technical & troubleshooting issues

Arranged and facilitated the migration of all equipment data from the Oracle System to the new Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP
