Duties and responsibilities
Decontamination
Receive and inspect soiled instruments from the Operating Theater and other end users. Sign checklist and confirm instrument count before Prewash / Process in washer disinfector.
Instrument Care procedure to maintain instrument cleanliness and prolong use.
Documentation of instruments for loading for all washers
Packing Area
Inspection of instrument / Instrument set for accuracy and assurance of successful washer / disinfector process.
Assembly of Instrument / Instrument sets for sorting and packaging according to best sterilization deemed for use.

Create manual list of load items for sterilization
Checking daily of biological indicators for Biological Indicator
Machine maintenance
Written and oral communication for machine repairs and maintenance
Prepares documentation for planned preventive maintenance schedules and works with bio medical engineer in completing task.

Weekly checking of OR /CSSD Consumables
Prepare list and orders consumables of OR / CSSD inventory
