Pre commissioning and Commissioning activities for greenfield facility that will tie-in to a brownfield facility that will be refurbished, modified and preserved ready for operations.
Review Work Authorization requests, ensure that all work covered by the WA is complete and that the affected equipment can safely be returned to operation.
Determine the appropriateness of the requested work activities.
Verify work complete and assess the quality of work carried out.
Perform required re-testing when work is completed.
Manage Preventive Maintenance work for the running equipment.
Confirm that the commissioning cleanliness strategy for pipelines, Heat Exchangers, Vessels and equipment are applied before the preservation process.
Plan, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of startup, operations, or maintenance for a project, including reviews of designs for plant operability and safety and jobsite pre-commissioning and startup assignments as directed
Coordinate startup between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors.
Egyptian-German Automotive Company: to assemble vehicles of Mercedes-Benz brand.;
Apply TPM, Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance for machines/ equipment in the
Production line and Utilities area (Hoists- Pumps- Compressors- Boilers-Burners-Chemical tanks-
Heat Exchangers- AHU- Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems and special filling machines).
Use CMMS program.
Manage drawing/documentation systems to defined performance levels.
Manage stores inventory to restock and reorder spare parts Foreign &local.
Prepare consolidated work lists for shutdown as well as preliminary estimates of manpower and
material.
Direct, instruct and supervise maintenance technicians.
Prepare different projects visibility studies
Estimate the cost projects on the basis of labor charges, time, used material, tolls and other
technical challenges.
Define the project tasks as well as the requirements of resources.
Connect with equipment suppliers and exchange information to find technical solution for
problems.
Perform successfully troubleshooting and diagnose breakdown problems to increase the
efficiency for factory.
Prepare internal audit according to DAIMLER procedure, beside shop floor management (5S
implementation and continuous improvement).
Be responsible for any required manufacturing work (factory workshop and outsourcing
manufacturing work).
Responsible for Pre-commissioning, Commissioning activities and turnover of start-up systems to the owner (GASCO):
1) Nitrogen generation and Air Compressor system ( Air Products)
2) Steam Generation and Condensate system (Package Boilers)
3) Gas Turbine (GE).
4) Gas dehydration/NGL recovery unit.
5) Propane and Residue gas Compressors (GE & Elliott Ebara).
6) Fire Fighting system.
Apply all HSE requirements (Safety awareness license from GASCO - Safety training from
Bechtel).
Review work permits (LOTO, coordinate between Safety, Mechanical and E&I departments).
Review system design manuals and operation manuals to apply the optimum condition for
system start-up and operation.
Review drawings, documents, data sheets and piping isometric.
Inspect and test procedures (Static & Rotating equipment).
Coordinate contractor/subcontractor work scopes.
Coordinate with E & I Discipline Engineers.
Be responsible for preparation of material requisitions.
Schedule and prioritize the activities to accomplish assigned tasks.
Check the progress of the activities carried out by the vendors and contractors.
Prepare the reports on the basis of the work done during the commissioning activity and submit
them to the commissioning manager.
Issue procedures for different systems:-
Loading Refrigerant, Desiccant, Perlite, unloading Liquid Nitrogen, power flushing, steam blow,
High Pressure leak test and Dry out for different systems.
Combined cycle Power Station: - 2×250 Mw frame 9f gas turbine (GE) controlled by Mark VI, steam turbine (Alstom), HRSG (NEM), electrical systems up to 220Kv and three Gas Compressors.
Attend the installation, commissioning and the start-up till the end of the project
working with GE, NEM and ALSTOM teams during the commissioning till the reliability test.
Use DCS to control the whole plant.
Isolate different systems electrically and mechanically
Start up and shut down the turbine safely.
