1. Support technical planning; requirements analysis; provisioning; test and analysis; and implementation of IP networks and systems for data systems, CCTV and Telephony.
2. Support the evolution from the existing architecture to a future IP converged environment for customers.
3. Work on all phases of solutions from analysis and design through implementation and support for new customers.
4. Develop project plans of network equipment and services at various customer locations.
5. Test and evaluate IP system and networks
Engineer IP transport / network architectures and designs through MPLS and various routing protocols such as EIGRP & BGP.
1. Conduct pre-site surveys and give necessary recommendations and carrying out Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) installations using Alvarion, Motorola, Mikrotik, Bullet and Poynting radios for internet connectivity.
2. Design and implementation of new client solutions & maintenance of existing client solutions - VPN for multisite locations, traffic shaping & load balancing.
3. Troubleshooting radio related problems at Base stations and Customer Premises.
4. Carrying out Fiber connectivity in buildings mostly Fiber To The Node (FTTN).
5. Integration of Systems and Networks running on different platforms and protocols into Xtranet network by carrying out router configuration, radio mapping and bandwidth allocation.
6. Roll-out of new Base Stations using Alvarion, Motorola, Mikrotik and Telektroniks antennas and carrying out load balancing exercises on Xtranet
network.
7. Client site integration through router configuration of services.
1. Carrying out WiMax, VL & OFDM radio installations for Kenya Data Networks.
2. Troubleshooting radio related problems at Base stations and Customer Premises for Kenya Data Networks.
3. Carrying out Fiber roll-out for Kenya Data Networks mostly Fiber To TheNode (FTTN), Fiber To The Curb (FTTC) and GigaBit capable Passive Optical Network (GPON).
4. Roll-out of new WiMax Base Stations for Kenya Data Networks as per their standards.
5. Carrying out DSL roll-out for Kenya Data Networks.
6. Carrying out Site optimization
1. Monitoring & resolution of faults relating to Power and transmission.
2. Troubleshooting of power related faults & network transmission faults.
3. Worked on Inala and Battery Load Controller systems.
4. Carrying out periodic site audits on fuel delivered & generator service parts replaced.
5. Monitoring network nodes for mobile data Base Stations
