Responsibilities:
• Reviewing and studying project documents such as B.O.Q, drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, and tender documents to be able to identify and get a list of required materials “Material List”.
• Develop required technical requisitions for pricing including all relevant documents & records e.g., Bills of Quantities, technical specifications, drawings, quality, and safety requirements.
• Receiving / Preparing "Material Submittal" in line with the approved vendor list and as per the department standards and follow up with the technical office to check with project specs to submit for approval by the Consultant.
• Contacting with suppliers / subcontractors for any clarifications required.
• Prepare the questions to be sent to the client from the material point of view.
• Seeking Requests for Quotations “RFQ” from suppliers / subcontractors.
• Negotiating PO’s / subcontracts terms with suppliers / subcontractors to obtain optimum quality, cost, terms, etc.
• Generating both technical and financial comparisons to be reviewed before issuing PO’s, Subcontracts, Internal Assignment
