Job Profile - Working as Technical Officer in the Head Office.

Directs, controls & monitors company vessels in order to ensure condition of hull and machinery on board are in compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Inspection of Vessels to establish the technical condition, performance of maintenance and repairs and provide training and advise to newly appointed Chief Engineers and Engineering Officers

In depth knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, CLASS, MARPOL, Planned Maintenance Program, supervising repairs, preparation and execution of docking and repair specifications.

Managing the Technical Department and maintain knowledge of current international shipping regulatory requirements. Update applicable standard operating procedures as necessary.

Effectively lead cross-functional root cause and corrective action to resolve shipping issues.

 Operation handling through office (Tanker Vessels):

• Administration of Operations Division in the Head Office and monitoring performance of the vessels through reporting systems.
• Prepares shipping schedules/ paperwork as well as completes shipping transaction in appropriate systems.
• Handling tanker vessels calling at UAE ports and preparing accounts disbursement for vessels.
• Collects and complies a variety of technical data related with ships specifications and maintains records.

• Competent in analytical techniques with fleet budget and statistical software and also Preparing KPI’s and performance highlights reports of the division on quarterly basis.
• Co-ordinated with Class surveyors such as Lloyds Register, Det Norske Vertias, GL, Bureau Veritas, NKK - Japan for periodical survey, Intermediate survey and issuance of the class certificates on time and follow-up / update with vessels.
• Communication with National Transport Authority (NTA) for issuance of Navigational Licenses, CLC and renewal of various vessels certificates on time.
• Handling communication with Charterers, Vessel owners, Ship Managers, principal Agents through mailing & various other modes.
• Reporting calls at various ports, communication with Vessels master and update on pre-arrival requirements, information of arriving port and proper planning prior berthing of vessel.
• Sending ETA notices, Tendering NOR, Preparing SOF & drafting mails send to Vessels and ports.
• Coordinate crew and spares / courier delivery to the vessel and export of landed items and off-signers for vessel. Arranging techinicans/surveyors as per vessel and charterers request.
• Experience with handling crew changes and independently liaising with Vessels Master and manning agents.
• Co-ordinate with bunker suppliers/De-slopping company to carry out smooth operations.
• Liaising with ship chandlers/suppliers for smooth delivery of provisions, bond stores, cabin requirements etc.
• Involved in all aspects of vessels operation from informing various Customs/Immigration authorities regarding vessels arrival & managing easy clearance of vessel through authorities.
• Keeping track of all export/import shipments & ensuring that all deliveries are done safely & timely.
