Working as Asst. Finance Manager / Financial Accountant: (September 2019 - Present)
• Overseeing all accounting & financial reporting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, cash management, payroll & recognition of revenue as per compliances of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & International Accounting Standards (IAS).
• Reporting : Responsible for preparation & presentation of financial statements on monthly, quarterly & annual basis (Balance Sheet, Income Statement i.e., Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement), Risk Assessments, SG&A & Capex to provide timely & accurate analysis of budgets & forecast financial trends in order to assist the group business management in decision making.
• Accounting of transaction : Recording transactions Including Inter. company transactions, bank charges, salary & other payment, adjustment JVs, & other financial transactions etc. based on accrual basis for finalization of accounts.
• Costing & Budgeting : Periodically performing evaluation of Inventory for cost reduction/savings opportunities & analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions with revenue results & managing the annual budgeting process.
• Cash Flow Management : Update of daily cash book & petty cash management, cash flow forecast, credit control, reviewing cash & bank accounts to ensure the organization has adequate funding to meet its obligations.
• Treasury Bank Reconciliation : Reconciliation of all the companies bank accounts on semi-monthly basis. Bank accounts in UAE, Reconciliations are completed each month end gather & process data for Ad hoc Management Reports.
• AR & AP : Maintaining & overseeing day to day operations of the companys finance department, including ageing of accounts receivables & accounts payables.
• Taxation : Review & submit Tax filing prepared for entities ensuring timely filing of VAT returns on government portals.
• Legal Compliance : Proactively liaise with govt. entities (FTA, MOHRE, DDA, DUBAI Economy, DHA & Dubai Municipality) & other related entities. Ensuring compliance with all local, state & federal regulations, including tax laws.
• Audit Documentation & reporting of Entities : Ensuring retention of documentation used for filing of returns. Ensuring standalone & consolidated financials are prepared, audited & completed on time as per ISAs & keeping information confidential & secure them with periodic database backups. Also conducting financial audits, operational audits & compliance audits while assisting in internal & external audit.
• Internal Control : Developed & implemented financial policies, procedures & internal controls to ensure the accuracy & completeness of financial records. Manage & mentor the finance & accounting team to ensure the successful completion of all financial & accounting activities.
• Month-end & year-end closing : Responsible for recording all cash & accounts receivable, review expenses & accounts payable records, reconcile accounts, review fixed assets, Inventory count (if necessary) collect & review financial documents for accuracy & pass adjustments journal entries as required.
• External Liaising : Liaising with bankers, auditors, tax agents on financing, treasury, accounting, taxation & insurance risk matters.
