• Overall responsibility for execution of the MEP work and is vested with requisite authority for management / administration of the MEP Sub - Contract Works so as to manage/execute and complete the associated works on time in accordance with the contract and to the reasonable satisfaction of the Contractor / Client, with due considerations to the Budgeted Costs, the Quality of Materials, Workmanship and Safety.
• Ensure the project is executed according to the contract and company policy within the budget and time.
• Attend important meetings with the client / consultant and implement the actions agreed in the meeting.
• Monitor all in and out correspondence from the Project. Ensure that all issues are addressed contractually in a timely manner.
• Lead the technical and the commercial negotiations with the client / consultant and subcontractors.
• Supervise the finalization of suppliers / subcontractors for the project.
• Review and approve all schedules and program of works prepared by the site team before submitting to contractor’s/ consultant’s review and approvals.
• Attend / organize meetings with the contractor, the consultant, the client and subcontractors as well as in-house, for various requirements of the project.
• Provide necessary support and welfare to the project team members and workmen.
• Selection of sub-contractors and awarding of the subcontract works in conjunction of the CM and the respective Department Heads / PEs.
• Carryout and monitor the contractual and techno-commercial correspondences through Contract’s department, F & A, CMs, Department Heads / PEs.
• Ensure the quality of materials and the installations of work are in accordance with the criteria identified for the project.
• Supervising contract activities and ensuring compliance to the standards and specifications.
• Regular review of the quality and the progress of the construction activities.
• Overseeing the project schedules, budgets and resources within allocated costs and time parameters.
• Supervising the site management team and ensuring adequate resource provided.
• Review and approving all subcontractors & suppliers claims and variations.
• Manage effective utilization of the company resources.
• Managed technical activities - comparison of tender & contract drawings, design verification, ESP calculation for AHUs, FCUs and fans, head calculation for pumps, material submittals, review of shop drawings, preparation of builder’s work drawings and necessary documentation.
• Coordinated with other engineering disciplines, resolved interface and design issues and provided site engineers with approved technical specifications meeting design criteria.
• Monitored and ensured that works at site adhered to contract specifications, approved drawings, agreed procedures & method statements.
• Ensured compliance with all QA/QC procedures and completed all QA/QC documentation for works at site.
• Placing orders on approved suppliers as per approved submittals in a timely manner.
• Ensured completion of all HVAC works including rectification of snags/defects on time as per the agreed program of works.
• Tested & commissioned all HVAC equipment & systems.
• Prepared as-built drawings along with operations & maintenance manuals for equipment & services.
Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Testing & Commissioning
Responsibilities:
* Conducted building survey and calculated heat loads according to ASHRAE and Carrier codes.
Developed estimates and prepared bills of quantity (BOQ) based on the specifications of various
makes & models of air conditioners.
* Monitored works at site and guided the team at the site ensuring smooth progress achieving
timelines and adhering to specifications and safety rules.
* Prepared and submitted shop drawings and secured approvals from the consultants.
* Ordering of materials and ensured delivery of materials at site on time.
* Tested and commissioned packaged air conditioning units.
Supervised the maintenance and servicing of the installed air conditioners
