The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care child from birth to 5 years old. Child will mostly be taught through games and play. The areas of learning are: communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design. The assessment is based on classroom observation - your child won’t be tested. It uses the early learning goals like: sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well, ensures children are kept healthy and safe ensures that children have the knowledge and skills they need to start school.
I have been working in Bedayati Nursey with kids 3-4 years. Thanks to my reach experience, management giving me freedom to make combination of American and Montessori program because the class composition need this. Children are fascinated and drawn to activities that give them independence and control over their own life. In the classroom, children practice activities such as pouring, hand washing and polishing, cleaning, and organizing. The purpose of these activities is to develop concentration and attention to detail, finishing each task and putting away all materials before going on to another activity. Children have improved their writing skills, pencil control and social skills.
In Gems International School I have been working in grade 1 as substitute teacher. That was my first experience with IB program( International Baccalaureate) and that was amazing for me. For children ages 3 to 12, IB focuses on six themes: who we are, where we are in place and time, how we express ourselves, how the world works, how we organize ourselves, and sharing the planet. Students examine these ideas through a variety of prisms, by considering works that focus on language, social studies, math, arts, science, and personal, social, and physical education. I upgraded my teaching skills in work with small groups and research approach to the acquisition of knowledge.
