• New build University campus including student accommodation for in excess of 3000 students and post graduates plus accommodation for in excess of 300 faculty and staff members. Also includes performing arts theatres and studios, research laboratories, sports facilities including indoor Olympic size swimming pool, running track (indoor and outdoor), basketball courts, football pitches with grandstand seating and tennis courts etc.
Roles and responsibilities include:-
• Directly responsible for management and delivery of 7no. 9 storey mixed use tower blocks including educational classrooms, faculty offices, research laboratories, auditoriums and lecture theatres, commercial kitchens/dining and the student and post graduate accommodation.
• Responsible for overall project management providing leadership and direction to all project operations from design to execution.
• Management of direct delivery of the RC/PT Sub and superstructure with direct workforce in excess of 1, 500 operatives and 40 staff members.
• Management of all sub-contract packages including precast concrete, façades, waterproofing, MEP, blockwork, dry-lined walls and ceilings, floor screeds and finishes, joinery, stonework and tiling. Etc.
• Monitoring and reporting work progress on a day to day basis to ensure conformance with schedule, contract documents and project budgets.
• Participation in sub-contractor selection and contract awards.
• Management and implementation of Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Management of change.
Apr.'08-Oct. '11 Project Manager, Al Futtaim Carillion, Al Muneera Project, Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi.
Client: Aldar Properties PJSC, Value AED 3Billion, NEC3 form of Contract.
• Project Consisted of 16 no. 14 storey residential towers, 1no. commercial tower, 148 townhouses and 11 high specification Villa's plus a small amount of Retail and basement car parking.
Roles and responsibilities included:-
• Directly responsible for management and delivery of the towers on the island plot consisting of 5No. 14 Storey residential towers with 318 apartments, basement car parking, large landscaped podium with communal swimming pools.
• Planned & sequenced the project from tender stage including selection and placement of tower cranes, revision of construction sequence to best suit programme durations, selection of formwork and falsework systems, determination of best construction techniques and preparation of project tender preliminaries.
• Managed a direct team of 70+ staff members and a peak direct labour force of 1, 100 operatives.
• Managed direct delivery of numerous packages including the RC sub and superstructure, Blockwork, self-levelling floor compound to all floors, sealant package and Ceramic Tiling.
• Directly Managed all sub-contractors with a workforce peaking at over 1, 000 operatives.
• Successfully managed costs and expenditure to complete the towers on programme and within budget.
• Managed the project from inception to completion and final handovers.

• Responsible for numerous live projects at any one time. Including:- o Main Contracting D&B residential Projects to value circa £33 million.
o Groundworks & RC frame sub-contract projects individual value circa £5 million with combined value circa £25 million.
• Management of projects varying from Academy buildings in the Education sector to high rise residential.
• Preparation of tender submissions for new projects including programming and planning and preparation of technical submissions.

• Duties include all aspects of modern construction management including H&S Management, planning, managing and monitoring sub-contractors, monitoring and managing budgets and commercial aspects.
• Management of the project site Engineering department including QA, site dimensional control and handovers.
• Liaising between Structural Engineer, Architect and the client.
• Management of Sub Contractors.
Oct.'02-March '03 Site Manager/Project Engineer, The White Swan, E14, Laing O'Rourke Construction.
• Worked for Principal Contractor on a 13 storey new build residential project on the Isle of dogs, London.
• Responsible for all works on site including; disconnection of live services, demolition of existing buildings, Site set up, connection of new services, initial excavation and formation of piling mat, sheet piling, CFA and bored piling, QA/QC, Site labour, plant, procurement and H&S.
• During this period also responsible for management of a specialist grout injection specialist carrying out grout injection works in the 4 storey basement of The CitiGroup tower, Canary Wharf.

June '01-Dec.'02 Section Engineer, HQ-5 Canary Wharf, O'Rourke Civil and Structural Engineering.
• Working as a section engineer on a 33 storey RC framed office development at Canary Wharf, London (Clifford Chance tower)
• Duties included, setting out and supervision of all trades involved in concrete framed self-climbing jumpform system.
• Co-ordination and allocation of sub-contractors in the lift shafts following the jumpform system.

• 18-storey RC Framed PFI redevelopment project in Euston, Central London. (University College Hospital)
• Directly in charge of 3 Engineers, a Surveyor and an assistant Engineer.
• Duties included: prioritisation of Engineers workload, enforcement of Health and Safety through inductions and tool box talks, writing & monitoring method statements, QA/QC, raising RFI's and PPIR's, attendance of weekly progress and safety meetings, procurement, supervision of Construction processes, and Safety audits/checks of self-climbing jumpform system.

• Worked as a site engineer on a 400 million pound, 45-storey office development at Canary Wharf, London. (Citi-Group Tower.)
• General site engineering duties including setting out, supervision, quality control over concrete, re-bar and formwork on both basement sub-structure and concrete framed jumpform system.
• Worked also as nightshift supervisor for approximately three months, where duties included supervision of all trades including structural steelwork sub-contractors, Carpenters and Steel fixers.
