Architect for Infrastructure/DC consolidation projects
1. Responsible for Delivery of Database Services through 22 member team at Bank of Baroda site based on ITSM framework using ITIL guidelines. As part of ITIL practices, Availability Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and Capacity Management processes are followed and procedures are defined accordingly
2. Performance Tuning for 10TB database. Table Partitioning to optimize the performance
3. Project Management of various projects on database technologies during DC and DR sites build phase
a. Designing and implementation of replication solutions based on RPO, RTO SLA commitments
b. Designing and implementation of high availability solutions based on SLA commitments using OS clusters such as MC/Service Guard, Windows clusters, Oracle Failsafe
4. L3 Technical support
a. Analyzing STATSPACK, AWR, ADDM and TKPROF and 10046 traces for diagnosing the root cause of the issue.
b. Tuning SGA/PGA and various other parameters at database level
c. Designing RMAN backup strategy and implementation of backup policies
d. Troubleshooting using Oracle Trace, Hang Analysis, System State Dump, OS Watcher, tkprof extensively
e. Working effectively with Oracle/Microsoft support
f. Design migration/upgrade of database, cross platform strategies to minimize downtime

• Instrumental in establishing Remote Service Delivery Centre at Pune and transitioning the existing remote support model to Shared Service Delivery Model based on ITSM framework

Hands-on exposure
1.Handled 2.8+ terra Bytes Oracle database for Core Banking system. 80 Oracle, 25 MS SQL Server & Sybase databases
2.Prepared comprehensive & effective plan for managing crisis during XP 12K storage failure in Nov 2006 due to environmental issues. The objective of the plan was to move all databases running from affected storage (XP 12K) to temporary storage (EVA 8000) to allow storage repairs possible without compromising the continuity of Business and shift back to original storage post repairs
3.MC/Service Guard cluster integration for Oracle databases and FINACLE (a core banking application from Infosys).
4.Installation and configuration of Oracle fail safe for Oracle databases on Microsoft Cluster.
5.Written shell scripts to automate Core Banking Report Server refresh process (A Daily activity)
6.Platform Migration of Core Banking database (1.5 Terra bytes) from PA-RISC to Itanium Architecture with virtually zero down time
7.Storage migration from XP12000 to another XP12000

13.DR switchover and switchback drills for 40+ databases at defined frequency and switch over during crisis at Data Centre in Oct 2007.
14.Designed the solution for transaction log replication for Sybase databases for Treasury application using shell scripts on SunFire V890 servers to implement Disaster Recovery solution.

Performed installations, configurations and cloning of Oracle applications 11i (ERP) on Redhat Linux for client V. S. Dempo & Co Pvt. Ltd, Panaji-Goa.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of Oracle Applications 11i on redhat Linux ES and application of various patches such as localization etc.
• Troubleshooting application and database issues etc.
• Troubleshooting Concurrent Manager.

He had been deputed on web site development project (4 months) on Oracle application server 10g/Oracle Discoverer. for client Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This project involved Oracle Portal development, SSO and OID with MS Active Directory integration. The following are some highlights
• Installation, configuration and integration of Oracle Application Server 10g R1 on Windows 2003 server. Configuration of Discoverer/Portal/SSO/OID integration with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Designed intranet portal. This included Discoverer report, Portal pages and portlets development and publish it in portlets.
• SSO was implemented using Kerberos authentication
