• Define and implement a structured way of handling opportunities - first client meeting, RFP response, RFI response, RFQ response and presentation etc.
• Work with sales team to identify pipeline and plan activities on a weekly basis
• Take lead, participate in opportunity assessment, qualification, developing response strategy, proposal development, review and feedback process, competitive positioning, pricing and commercial decisions
• Work closely with the delivery heads in identifying the right team, getting the pre-sales and delivery teams to develop the solution, estimates, schedules, technical responses etc. to complete the proposal
• Work closely with support functions (like IT / Quality / marketing etc.) for creating a compelling solution / proposal
• Assist sales team in prospecting with relevant pitch and market/company specific data
• Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
• Managing the presales team (Active and Passive networks, Systems and Low current); improve their technical and business skills.
• Maintain the relationship with Vendors and distributors for specific products such as Cisco, HP, EMC, VMware etc…
• Working as presales system engineer, responsible for IT solution such as hardware (HP, IBM, Dell and EMC), Virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V), Microsoft, Symantec etc.…
• Acting as Presales system engineer for IT related solution, such as hardware (HP, IBM, and Dell), Virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V), Microsoft licenses, Symantec etc…
• Follow up with the customers for the new projects, planning, designing the solution, preparing RFQ, preparing proposals, negotiate the solution with the customer, and negotiate the prices till closing the deal and the project.
• Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit.
• Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
• Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements
• Responsible for IT outsourcing teams.
• Install and implement the solution at the customer premises, such as:
- VMware solutions
- HP Enclosure C7000
- HP Storage P200 and P6000
- HP Tape library EML71e
- Microsoft Solution such as (Active Directory, SQL Server, Load balancer)
- Symantec Backup Exec
• Support the customer 24/7.
• Preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs), Negotiate contracts, maintenance agreements, and SLAs with vendors, and suppliers.
• Manage the performance of Blue Zone Jordan servers and overall responsibility of IT infrastructure.
• Manage workload, and day to day management of systems tasks and projects including scheduling and managing priorities.
• Carry out project management and planning of maintenance, upgrade and rollouts in the future proofing of Blue Zone Jordan Service.
• Responsible for the production and maintenance of technical documentation, diagrams and procedures, and keep them up to date.
• Planning, designing and implementing all systems infrastructures this includes: Mail servers, SMTP and their border MX’s (Postfix), DNS servers (BIND and Microsoft DNS), AAA server using freeradius with MySQL backend, CRM, web servers and MySQL servers, NMS (Nagios, Cacti), DHCP (Linux and Windows), Proxy and web Content filtering (Squid and DansGuardian), Captive Portal and Active Directory.
• Work and coordinate with the marketing, sales departments on new solutions and value added services.
• Troubleshooting systems and system related problems, finding effective solutions to everyday problems, Ensure the 24/7 availability and performance of service.
• Configuring and administrating for SVN, FTP, Apache, MySQL Replication, rsync, PHP and ISCSI …etc.
• Responsible for system backup and restore operations of Linux and Windows Environments.
• Design, development, implementation, testing for ISP’s DNS (BIND), Web (Apache, IIS), Mail (Postfix, Communigate Pro), Monitor (Nagios, NMS) servers.
• Managing Internet domain registrations, renewals, terminations and record creation.
• Building, configuring, and managing the main mail servers and their border MX servers.
• Mysql and Microsoft SQL servers’ administrator.
• Managing the company’s web servers (IIS and Apache), and the creation of new domain both on DNS level and web server level in Linux and windows environment.
• Responsible for system backups and restore operations in Windows and Linux environment through built-in backup tools and HP Data Protector backup solution.
• Write script files using PERL.
• Write documentations and procedures.
• Define, architect and write detailed technical requirements for new services (international calls prepaid cards).
• Reporting the IN services details, like Call Detailed Records (CDRs) and services status using SQL.
• Monitoring the IN components like SCP, SMP, analyzing and handling its problems.
• Handling and maintaining IN services like Prepaid card Service, Postpaid account Services.
