-Reviews and evaluate planned work activities to ensure all safety measures are implemented and communicates the hazards and measures down to General foreman, superintendent, site engineer and subcontractors.
-Accountable for the quality of the work performed and ensures all work executed is in line with the latest design drawings and specifications.
-Promotes and communicates the Zero Rework philosophy
-Responsible for all lifting and rigging procedure compliance on site
-Site walk with Engineer, Superintendent, safety assistant to make them understand and make sure that the job site is maintained to expected standards related to safety and quality.
-Conducts Plan of the Day (POD) meeting, giving training to the Engineers, Superintendent on the works that is to be executed. Ensures they understand the method and sequence of works.
-Develops and produces the four-week look ahead schedule for dire hire works and reviews subcontractor four-week schedule work plans in conjunction with the area planners and assess subcontractor resources to meet planned schedule requirements.
-Plans material requirements for delivery
-Co-ordinates all subcontractors on site and ensures they all understand their interfaces and schedule requirements, monitors and drives the production of all subcontractors.
-Closely monitor the deployment of trades on respective jobs, so as to achieve targets and meet the required performance.
-Guide timekeeper in maintaining/recording the timesheets and ensures correct allocation of cost codes in relation to the ongoing works at site.
-Discuss daily work activities with Construction manager and reporting the same.
Resident Engineer to support the development, management & administration of Service Requisitions (SR) and the resulting invitation to tender & subcontractors awards. Responsible as part of SR development and approval process to coordinate inputs from all stakeholders to include Construction delivery groups, Engineering, Project Controls, Quality & Safety. Facilitates the necessary interdisciplinary and interdepartmental coordination of the Service Requisition. Responsible to coordinate tender clarifications including questions to/from tenderers involving technical aspects.
-Prepared Service Requisitions (SR) for awarding subcontracts to design, procure and construct as per the project execution plan & Elevated Stations Management objectives. Develops scope of work of the requested subcontracting services from the issue for tender through completion of services. This includes the scope of work and all technical exhibits of the following subcontractors on Elevated Stations: Civil & concrete works, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), Steel Structure, Architectural finishes, Station’s envelope, Canopy, Precast & Post-tensioning.
-Ensured that Service Requisitions are including all concerns from Construction, Project Controls, Contract, HSE & Engineering teams.
-Prepared the Quantities Exhibit in coordination with the Designer, Construction & Project Controls by establishing the pricing and payment structure for compensating the subcontract for the performance of the work. Developed the subcontract pay item quantities and the related measurement for payment provisions. Supported Project Control to prepare budget analysis documents for each subcontracts.
-Prepared the scope of work Exhibit & appendices which describe the extent of services to be performed by the subcontractor from Engineering, Procurement & Construction (including defining site interfaces and Division of Responsibilities between main contractor and subcontractors)
-Prepared the drawings & technical specifications lists that detail the services to be performed by subcontractor.
-Supported the contract department to issue ITT (invitation to tender) documents and addenda to obtain the appropriate tenders for construction, engineering & procurements.
