Duties:
• Under the direct supervision of assigned Senior Registration staff (mentor) and overall guidance from Registration Managers, report to the Reception Centre on time and diligently perform duties assigned in the following workstations and reach the required target: external gate, reception gate, scheduling, digitization booth and filing.
• Handle persons of concern with respect and dignity ensuring they have fair and transparent access to the Reception Centre and registration procedures.
• Identify and fast-track persons with specific protection needs and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with persons of concern, colleagues and supervisors thus creating a conducive working environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and data about refugees and asylum seekers received at the reception centers by updating the database as per Registration SOPs.
• Assist with creating, organizing, maintaining physical files, including photocopying and scanning of personal documents. Referrals and counselling persons of concern
• Provide up to date counselling queries raised by asylum seekers and refugees about their rights, UNHCR procedures and services provided by both UNHCR and Partners.
• Assist asylum seekers and refugees with the completion of their application forms, where needed.
Fraud prevention and collaboration with other functional units
• Coordinate with the security team and Senior Desk on the management of orderly entry of Persons of Concern into the Reception Centre and reporting security incidents when applicable.
• Liaise directly with direct supervisor and Field Security in identifying persons who may pose a security risk to the office for proper follow-up.
• Proactively support in preventing and reporting any form of fraud either committed by persons of concern, UNHCR staff or Partners.
