Highlights:
• Contribute to the Commercial department ‘s competitive advantage by enhancing the quality of the dispatching process & delivery systems. Aiming to provide a distinctive delivery experience to the customers in terms of process and system utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directing and monitoring the entire Cement Dispatch process right from receiving order from commercial department, till delivery of shipment to respective buyer's destination.
• Developing and maintaining excellent and timely customer service to internal/external customers, updating clients on the status of their shipments, method of transportation, the best rates and assurance of safe/damage-free conveyance.
• Monitoring the movement of materials in the warehouse, handling loading/unloading, with due relevance to associated transportation logistics. Maintained immaculate records of all goods delivered and dispatched as per specific categories.
. Managing delivery of products to customers including sorting and loading of goods, maintaining base stock of all products at all points of time, preparing accurate and timely documentation of stock movement into and out of the customers from / to the warehouse.
. Serving as administrative liaison, providing administrative support, which included daily maintenance of office, communication system,
invoicing, filing of loading note, delivery note, correspondence, banking and petty cash.
. Assisting in all aspects of dispatch operations and documentation to ensure timely delivery of material.
. Coordinating the dispatch schedule with concerned personnel for smooth functioning.
. Delivering exceptional customer service by proactively building customer relations through service calling, soliciting feedback, addressing queries and resolving customer complaints.
. Reconciling daily sales transactions, recorded, balanced daily financial transactions. Submitting daily sales and dispatch reports to the senior management.
. Communicating with the logistics team for the quota assigned to each customer, serving as a customer point of contact, ensuring customer feedback is actively solicited and recorded, appropriately acted upon.
. Responsible for the first weight and second weight of the inbound/outbound vehicles, drafting weekly reports and presented it to head - office on current position of shipment, release and dispatch dates to site.
. Gathering and summarizing data for briefs, reports, routine correspondence and submitting the same to the management thereby gaining knowledge of Cement Sales Management Software in Oracle environment.
• Eliminating all dispatch bottlenecks in order to increase sales & to achieve the targeted Cement loading capacity ( more than 120 trucks per day ).
• Coordinating with all other departments in order to utilize the full planned Cement capacity & to maximize financial results.
• Spearheading Cement Dispatching team comprising of 40 employees, handling all aspects of their training and evaluating performance periodically in order to maintain a motivated team.
Highlights:
• Successfully managed overall logistics and shipping activities for key clients such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Carlsburg, Nadec & Mars.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directing and monitoring the entire shipment process right from receiving invoice from the shipper, till delivery of shipment to respective buyer's destination.
• Developing and maintaining excellent and timely customer service to internal/external customers, updating clients on the status of their shipments, method of transportation, the best rates and assurance of safe/damage-free conveyance.
• Examining export packing specifications as well as managing all necessary documentation and forms for efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all shipping and logistics activities.
• Facilitating the process of clearance, ensuring the dispatch of clearance documents to the customs, subsequently arranging for trailers and delivery of cargo.
• Negotiating pricing issues with shipping lines, sending quotations to evaluate price and service availability for imports and exports.
• Calculating shipping costs for shipments, filed and keeping track of claims for damaged /lost freight and maintaining shipping logs and trailer loading sheets for future use.
• Ascertaining accurate preparation of import and export documents. Liaising with principals and overseas customers for documentation requirements, registering jobs with freight, C & F upon receipt of shipping documents.
• Anticipating, researching and reporting on future changes in import/ export laws and ensuring that such knowledge is utilized for planning department's strategy, policies and procedures.
• Spearheading shipping team comprising of 25 employees, handling all aspects of their training and evaluating performance periodically in order to maintain a motivated team.
