• During shift, supervision and leading safety supervisors / officers to ensure terminal safety compliance, promoting positive safety awareness and follow up of all 3rd party activity within the terminal.
• Performs various duties and activities related to safe working practices and procedures.
• Responds as an emergency team leader in cases of accident, fire, oils/chemical spill or other incidents in the terminal or surrounding area.
• Conducts safety inspections of work areas, advising supervisory personnel of observed safety hazards, violation of safety rules and regulations, and prepares safety inspection reports for the HOD and in copy Head of HSSE.
• Ensure the quality of investigations performed as per TOPSET methodology.
• Keeping up to date with new legislation and safety standards.
• Attending the monthly safety committee as a leader.
• Ensure that all records are up to date according to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 standards.
• Carryout the internal audits for the terminal’s departments.
• Assists with training instruction for company personnel in health/safety related areas as per Head of HSSE instructions.
• Manage the shift in cooperation with Engineering & operations shift managers for daily basis.
1- Administrative / Office Work:
•Review the risk assessment for the routine & non routine jobs before performing.
•Implement and manage an H & S Management system according to OHSAS 18001/2007.
•Carry out the internal audits for all departments in the terminal (Midyear audit).
•Ensure that all legal requirements are in place/ According to Egyptian local law 12/2003.
•Incident investigation, Root causes analysis & following the implementation for the corrective / Preventive actions taken.
•Train the new staff, visitors & contractors about the safe working rules into the terminal.
•Attending the weekly safety meeting with the safety coordinators in operations & engineering departments.
•Preparing the required reports & action plan for the weekly management meeting.
2- Site work:
•Following Up The Construction Works In Phase 2 sites
•Carry out regular inspections to ensure that standards are complied with HSE Policy.
•Job hazard analysis (JHA), Using HAZOP and assist in the investigation of accidents and dangerous occurrences, as required.
•Check the IMO labels and segregation for the dangerous goods
•Issuing the Permit to Works and follow the job.
•Ensure compliance with Environmental policy and procedures. Identify ways to minimized waste.
Ensuring all safety performance .
Inspect the equipments - scaffolds, etc….
Accidents investigations .
Safe Handling / Storage for the dangerous cargo according to IMDG Code.
