Project Overview:
The RedSea Petrochemicals Complex Project is the development of a crude to chemicals complex in the Suez Canal Corridor, to produce high quality petroleum and petrochemicals products (Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Benzene, Paraxylene (PX), Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG), Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) (bottle and Fiber), DEG, Hexene in addition to Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO).
Specific accountabilities:
• Successfully participated in Development & administration all the applicable Contracts (Licenses, FEED, EPC, PMC, Consultancy and other Contracts) for the Project worth $ 500 million, in addition to the production of supporting term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, ..etc.
• Slashed payroll/benefits administration costs 30% by negotiating pricing and fees for service agreements (PMC&O/M), while ensuring the continuation and enhancements of services.
• Engaging with technical teams to determine scope of work / services requirements and translate them into contracts.
• Prepare, negotiate & finalize sub-contractors' engagement, besides acting as principal point of contact for the project team with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Draft the contractual correspondence necessary for the projects including for notices of claims/Delays/disruption, Extension of Time, Site possession, Contractual disputes, prolongation claims, responses to determination letters, TOCs and handing over letters.
• Regular daily follow-up of contracts management activities for receipt and issue of correspondences including drafting informed responses with relevant engineering disciplines.
• Reviews, evaluates, and prepares recommendations regarding EPC / FEED Contractor; claims for delay, back charges, prolongation, disruption, etc.
• Function as a part of a project financing committee assigned to handle all relative financing matters with financial advisors, market study advisor, potential ECAs…etc., besides, review critical deliverables (Project execution plan, Phasing study, cost estimate, financial model, schedule).
• Carrying out compliance reviews on all submitted invoices(Licensors Contractors/subcontractors, Suppliers, Consultants, ..etc.) to ensure documentation and amounts align with requirements of contractual terms and conditions.
• Reporting the overall project contractual status (payments, billing, claims, VOs, amendments, conflict resolution…etc.)
• Supervise, lead, and drive the allocated junior contract administrators, to determine departmental objectives and anticipated expected outcomes.
