• Contribute to and participate in the development and promotion of the Trust’s vision, aims and strategic objectives.
• Provide the Chief Executive with practical advice and information on operational issues and any associated risks which flow from the consideration of strategic options.
• Responsible for managing the strategic development and implementation of operational risk management.
• Maintain relationships with providers on operational matters. Ensure that the organizations operational profile is cost effective and long and short-term requirements are properly matched to the Trust’s strategy.
• Apply professional standards and monitor adherence to group’s operational policies and procedures at all levels within the organization.
• Provide strategic leadership for operational matters across the organization and help strengthen their contribution to the organization’s activities.
• Lead and support Divisional Leaders and Lead Clinicians to manage within their allocated budgets.
• Take early action to contain overspending budgets and develop plans to return to financial balance.
