Due to my performance at my pervious assignments, I was promoted as a PM to handle the Saudi Aramco’s Dhahran Utilities Department’s (DUD) LFC contract of maintenance. This is where I gained experience in electro mechanical field like HVAC, Firefighting, hospital maintenance, BMS system, emergency Generator maintenance, elevator maintaining, RO plant, BI for raw water tanks, underground utilities which included fire hydrants, CW piping and much more.
My responsibilities included but not limited to
•Study and meet the contractual obligations and ensure that all the requirements are met and comply with (Client’s) Saudi Aramco’s standards of the particular contract
•Direct monitoring and supporting the supervising staff, engineers and technical team
•Attend routine meetings with client and taking it forward to our senior management
•Supervising the safety meeting and encouraging personality development among our team
•Identifying the potential talent among our staff for further promoting them to next level and utilizing them in company’s interest
•Subletting as and when required, negotiating with bidders, developing SOW(scope of works) and implementation of the same technically
•Meeting Saudization programme and identifying the resources and assisting HR Manager and encouraging the Saudi work force and motivating them
•Organising workshop classes
•Involved for finalization of bidding of contracts, overall supervision through start-ups, administer the progress till handing over the projects satisfactorily to our esteemed clients, propose alternate solutions (value added engineering) in cutting down costs, resource management and allocation of subcontractors, developing sub-contract agreements contract negotiations, initiating change orders, convincing the proponent justifying the claims and getting approvals for Variation orders.
•Planning and preparing yearly vacation chart for the entire project’s crew
I was promoted as PE and assigned a project to construct a “Storm Water Drainage System” at Najran Bulk plant which involved site survey, marking, mass excavation, levelling, filling earth works, stone revetment for 13m wide and 3.5 Km length. This project was accomplished in stipulated time with considerable cost saving. This gained me special appreciation and bonus from my management.
CHIEF ESTIMATOR:
I was on a special assignment at
(Service orders), SFC’s and MFC; My responsibilities included but not limited to planning the jobs, material take off, assigning manpower and resources according to the work requirement Initially I was assigned as a Multi-craft foreman, in Jeddah oil refinery and Bulk plant (Saudi Aramco’s LFC) Maintenance of refinery pipeline, replacement of damaged spools, Concrete foundations and pipe supports repair/replace, cast in place and ready Mix concrete. Asphalting for DPC Laydown yard of about 19000 Sqm and Refinery access road were completed. Cathode protection SFC was completed to Area Engineer’s satisfaction in North Bulk Plant Jeddah, security gate was built and many more blasting and painting coating work orders were completed in loading racks and tank form
During the period my achievements:
•Work permit receiver (Successfully trained around 20-30
Development of 17km of infrastructure for RBI township. This includes, WBM Roads with Blacktop and rain water open drainage system. Construction of Sewage treatment plant with 4 lagoons with brick pitching and 2 lift stations.
