Main Responsibilities

A. Foreign Purchasing:

1. Setting a system for filing, updating and following the status of each purchase order starting issuing the purchase order until closing it
2. Finding reliable quality suppliers that will meet the company's specifications in order to provide competitive Pricing and commitment for delivery requirements
3. Receiving material requisitions and contacting the suitable suppliers in order to get competitive quotations
4. Issuing purchase orders within the BAAN system
5. Corresponding with the suppliers and all the concerned parties and following with them till the shipment reaches our warehouse
6. Receiving and reviewing the shipping documents, then passing it to the logistic department
7. Following the clearing procedures to make sure that material will reach our warehouse on time.



8. Taking care of financial issues related to purchase orders and recovering the sales tax paid (advanced payments, debit notes, customs certificates, …)
9. Following and full filing all BAAN activities (ERP system)
10. Following some export activities as and when required (exporting excess materials, returned materials, …)
11. Receiving complaints (related to purchased materials) from all the departments, preparing NCR, sending the NCR to the concerned supplier and following up the case till closed.

B. Logistics:

1. Fully aware of all the documentation requirements, shipping procedures and legalization requirements for importing and banking (LCs, DA etc) to ensure smooth flow of paperwork and avoiding demurrage charges.
2. Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
3. Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area od purchase activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner
4. In charge in registration of received goods and inventories of dispatched goods.
5. Maintain an appropriate logistic database.
6. Responsible for the company loaders as well as the transport officers in a particular company.
