Project manager for 50MW, PV solar power project at ASWAN, Egypt
• Contribute to the preparation of the Juice project management budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
• Monitor the financial performance of PM activities versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• Review the progress of Juice projects periodically with contractors/ consultants/ vendors/ suppliers as well as other concerned sections in order to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Monitor / Manage all Juice project progress to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate cost control with Project Accountant
• Regular and proper reporting of activities and progress to Department construction senior manager.
• Assist in coordination between all stake holders i.e. Engineering Department, Engineering Services provider, Factory management, suppliers, Finance, Procurement, Supply chain and Marketing department.
• Identify project associated risks in terms of planning, finance, HR, procedures and processes as well as provide recommendations and propose solutions in order to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and risk avoidance of the department
• Analyze bid documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
• Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
• Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity.
• Preparing the invoices to the owner
• Produce detailed workshop drawings and documentation for the construction
• Preparing the claims and variation orders and submit it to the owner
• Surveying the quantities of the works done
• Make the required submittals for the project as per the requirements of the client
• Follow up the electromechanical activities
• Updating the time plan of the work progress
• Schedule and monitor the construction activities as per plan
