Entailed a detail analysis of risk and factors that drive provision policy such as time value of money constituents, discounted/undiscounted loss given defaults, probability of default and effective credit spread of market variable risk. Basel II exposure through preparation of IFRS 7 schedule concerned with aligning financial data according to Basel definition and criteria dimensions.
•Reporting Management - preparation of monthly, quarterly and half year commentary on provisions and expected losses for executive board members. This would include reports such as the DI500, Credit Key Summary and Flash commentary (concerned with Reserve Bank requirements). Spokesperson for portfolio on Manco, Executive level and Credit Council as financial representative.
•Stakeholder management and effectively working with key strategic stakeholders concerned with the portfolio in the bank and externally such as the South African Reserve Bank.
•Redefined financial portfolio policy reviews to be more adapted to current market conditions and strategy.
•Part of the IAS 39 project team concerned with the implementation of a new data source together with account level provisioning.
•Recipient of True Blue Top Performance Awards.
