Enterprise Impact:
Egyptian Fertilizer Company (EFC)
•Played an important role in refinancing of EFC Loan facility ($600m) with IFC and other commercial Banks.
•Successfully reduced the Head count by 24 employees and achieved annual cost savings of $0.5m by reconstituting the Finance and IT Departments of EFC.
•Successfully created a separate maintenance company by using in-house maintenance staff leading to the development of effective strategies of cost reduction and additional revenue generation.
•Played a key role in integrating EFC and EBIC to bring both companies under joint management control that resulted in cost and resources optimization and cost savings of over $15m.
Egypt Basic Industries Corporation (EBIC)
•Successfully negotiated with Exim Bank US and facilitated the early retirement of an expensive loan of 350m for EBIC facility.
•Successfully negotiated an additional loan of US$ 100m for EBIC from Arab Bank at very competitive pricing.
COMET ERP system by
Chiefly responsible for financial management, Project Accounting, Business Process Documentation, Process Optimization, Oracle Implementation, and Cost Control.
•Managed the detailed organizational study of Orascom Construction Projects and Departments.
