Managing commercial and engineering records, sub-contractors and regulatory documentation in accordance with Best Engineering Practices.
 Monitoring the operation and performance of the facility whilst on shift; assisting in scheduling daily maintenance actions, plant configuration changes and varying power generation levels. Identifying any problems with plant equipment and clearly communicating the conditions associated with these problems to the Plant Maintenance Team.
 Ensuring the completeness of shift round checklists, routine daily/weekly/monthly test checklists and equipment change-over checklists, etc.
 Taking appropriate action when necessary to ensure compliance of safety, efficiency, environmental and administrative guidelines
 Ensure smooth functioning of various electrical system network elements such as transformers, transmission lines, terminal equipment etc., by using AREVA (France) e-terra50 on line processes computer
 Initiating and reviewing plant change requests as per company procedure to equipment, units and plants.
 Conducting site engineering studies to determine the feasibility of introducing modification and incorporate the same to increase reliability and efficiency of plant.
 Carrying out periodical review and advice on updating material stock and directs revision of specifications in light of information from manufacturers including deletion obsolete & incorporation of new items, ensure availability of spares & materials.
 Reporting all defects in the plant to the Maintenance Department by raising these defects in SAP Software and following up on them until completed; preparing operation procedure for the forthcoming scheduled operations based on MANITOBA, (Canada) guidelines using SAP programme.
 Training, directing and supervising plant personnel; ensuring that the shift has a sufficient number of qualified employees to safely operate the facility. Assuming the role of Team Leader with the daily operations of the facility whilst on shift, operating equipment as needed; training Saudi graduate engineers and evaluating their performance
 Ensuring a safe working environment for maintenance personnel through locking and tagging out equipment as required by the safe work permit system
 Issuing various Sanctions to Work permits viz...(S.T.W., S.F.T., L.O.A., P.E.A., & H.L.W) using SQL database system build based on NERC recommendations.
 In the main control room, monitoring power system equipment for challenges to integrity issues using supervisory control system (SCADA)
 Coordinating with country’s National Control Centre for the various alerts (Amber, Blue and Red) issued time to time. Maintaining proper operating voltage and frequency of western grid.
