• Performing the professional duties of a sub-specialist in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privileges as recommended by the Chief of department

To act under the supervision of the Consultant Anaesthetist in the provision of an
Anaesthetic service and to support the Consultant Anaesthetist in their duties
•Pre-assessment of patients for anaesthesia and surgery
•Manage deteriorating ward patients with conditions including acute coronary syndromes, acute respiratory failure, pulmonary embolus, pulmonary oedema, and haemodynamic instability
•Manage post-operative patients including those having cardiothoracic, vascular and neurosurgical procedures
•Acute pain management
• Respond to Emergency situations including airway management and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
•Make part in supervising and teaching medical and nursing staff
•Research - Participation in and evaluation of research
•Ensuring safe working practices in a safe Working environment.

Trained under veteran anesthesiologists, acquiring hands-on experience in patient care and treatment.
•Administered anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal or caudal methods.
•Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications
•Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities.
•Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.
•Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
•Collaborated in research projects, facilitating trial procedures, logging test results, and fielding test subjects.
