Advise and supervise the electrical competent and authorize persons who are performing electrical jobs according company safety rules (onshore/offshore)
Cooperate with other company departments to constitute active team work
Supervise execution of preventive maintenance program to field electrical equipments in hazardous & non-hazardous areas by using Global Maintenance System Software.
Represent electrical operation department in electrical commissioning of new switchgears (medium & low voltages), electrical motors, cables, uninterrupted power supply units, lighting, lightning, earthing and cathodic protection .
Report maintenance general manager of closed jobs, under- execution jobs, vendor activities electrical team responses, department needs ( training courses, tool assets, , )
Supervise the execution of permit to work system including tool box talk, method of statement and/or Maintenance Work Instruction, isolation certificates, lockout tag out, quantitative and/or qualitative risk assessment.
Assist in developing and evolving Maintenance Work Instruction in linkage with planning, production and other departments to be customized according to the application criticality to avoid as much as possible plant downtime.
Keep inventory updated and make sure that all spare parts are present in min. / max. Basis. Raise purchase requisitions, review and assets technical offers.
Ensure the workshop availability all the time "manpower, tools & diagnostic instruments"
Contribute in holding periodical meetings to review the department progress according to the monthly target plan which is based on achieving the highest level of root cause analysis for the electrical applications chronic problems and report the MOM to the maintenance general manager.
Work with the company HSE regulations which is adopted by BG-Group
Layout solutions using modern technologies and adopting all standards & codes in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
Help with teamwork in assessing projects (Technical, Cost).
Survey for six caterpillar dealers for technical training courses needed
Prepare annual training schedule
Execute new graduated training program and follow their performances during their first Two years in the company
Analysis the course attendee feedbacks and modify the course contents
Prepare the needed reports for improve training courses and facilities
Design and conduct the electrical and electromechanical courses needed to service and Installation engineers and apprentices in (Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania ) to cover The following subjects:
• Installation, commissioning and fault troubleshooting of electrical and electronic Components of DIESEL and NATURAL GAS generators with rating up to 3 MVA with low and Medium voltages
• Monitors, controllers and protections for diesel and gas generators in stand alone and parallel modes Using relays, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and protection devices
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical power system components and Electrical switchgear (relays and automations) faults and failure analysis
• Electronic control for diesel and gas engines fuel system and repair faults
• Safety rules in the repair shop and field service
Carried out maintenance works for the company projects
Help-desk and technical support
Prepare survey sheets for projects and solutions
Contact the customer to determine kinds of malfunction in their equipment, determine the Cost of inspection
Prepare dispatch schedules for field service team to customer sites
Follow-up on field service engineer’s work ensures that they completed the jobs without Delay or customer complain
Executed training programs to authority’s engineers and technicians under ONTARIO-HYDRO Canada supervision covering the following subjects:
Electrical Power substation components operation and control
Maintain and repair circuit breakers (oil, air blast, SF6 ) with voltages from 66 to 500kV
Maintain of gas insulated system components used in substation (bus bars, transformers, circuit breakers, , , )
Maintain of power transformers oil insulated up to 100 MVA
Operation and failure diagnose of power electronics
Maintain and repair tap-changer of power transformer
