As an International trade policy consultant and Economic Analyst at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, I have worked over the past few years on issues of international trade that allowed me to become more exposed to other countries’ economies, policies and development plans. This has been achieved through traveling almost on a periodical schedule to Geneva to attend the negotiations meetings of the Non-Agriculture Market Access and Services meetings at the WTO. In addition, I attended training courses and programs at different countries related to the files of negotiation and to enhance my negotiations skills and improved my way of thinking .
Beside that I was a member of the Trade Police Review Team of Egypt, and I was responsible for conducting KSA first trade policy review in January 2012.
Current responsibilities:
-Provide legal consultancy for all WTO Agreements, and ensure that current KSA rules, laws and regulations are WTO compatible.
-Prepare proposals on behalf of KSA in different WTO fields.
-Analyze WTO Proposals and study their effect on Member countries.
-Conduct studies related to trade and trade agreements.
-Assist KSA to amend their Laws & legislation to comply with WTO Agreements
-Assist private sector in their work in the MENA region.
I have received a very specialized Master's degree in international law and economics, It is designed for young professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of the law, economics and political economy of global commercial relations. I also hold a Diploma in "Trade Policy" from the World Trade Organization "WTO"
