- Day shift Production Engineer on the electric arc furnace (EAF) and ladle refining furnace (LRF) at Egyptian Steel Plant installed by Danielli, working with new technology of continuous feeding through consteel to increase productivity. At the end of the consteel there are hoods to cover it and trap the flue gases exiting from EAF to save the environment and to utilize the heat of flue gases in heating the entering scrap. EAF is 120-ton capacity and LRF is 80-ton capacity.
Main Responsibilities:
☑ Leading a team of technicians and supervisors and guiding them & maintaining continuous communication with other sections.
☑ Daily following up of operation parameters and KPIs: productivity, cost, quality fulfillment, yield rate, consumption figures, safety and housekeeping.
☑ Analyzing the production, quality and troubleshooting data base & preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports and propose actions for improvements.
☑ Monitoring and evaluating melt-shop teams performance.
☑ Issuing, revising and updating work instructions for Melt Shop operations & confirming the
execution of internal work procedure and work standard to standardize the job.
☑ Leading / participating in incident root cause analysis and corrective actions for major failures: safety incident, environmental deviation, quality deviation, production loss.
☑ Following up maintenance activities and assigning tasks for operation crews during maintenance days & Coordinating and recommending procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification including the replacement of machines.
☑ Revising the contracts for all raw materials & making technical evaluation for them.
☑ Continuous following up of all refractories suppliers performance for EAF and LRF to achieve maximum productivity with lowest consumption rates.
- Shift Production Engineer on the 4-high rolling mill line and batch annealing furnace line that is composed of 5 bases for charging the cold rolled coils for heat treatment with annealing furnaces to give the coils the required mechanical properties reaching to skin pass operation which is the final step of production process. Skin pass gives the coils the required flatness and surface appearance.
Main Responsibilities:
☑ Supervising the shift production activities and leading a team to obtain optimum results.
☑ Following up all parameters of the production processes \[Cold Rolling & Batch Annealing\].
☑ Helping in organizing production processes and analyzing production data and quality to identify quality faults and their reasons in collaboration with quality department.
☑ Participating in technical improvement to support the corporate objectives of production cost and quality.
