As students in the faculty we had to follow the faculty rowels and regulations and to comply with civil/structural department courses and requirements. In Preparation year we studied general knowledge like mathematics, physics, mechanics, descriptive geometry...etc. 1st and 2nd year we studied more specific civil/structural knowledge like structural analysis, preparation & testing of material, plan surveying, civil drawings…etc. then we have to choose between Structural and public works department in the next two years course syllabus based on our scores and interest, and it was my interest and scores qualified me to join the structural department 3rd and 4th year we studied in more detail structural knowledge like structural analysis, design of RC structures, design of steel structures...etc. beside public works secondary courses like highway & airport engineering, railway engineering..etc. Finally I selected design of RC concrete structures to be my graduation project .
