Production Manager
Supervise and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and plan strategically to mitigate risks and resolve emerging problems. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities while serving as head of implementation department which involved overseeing more than 250 employees from various disciplines including of civil engineers, surveyors, soil lab technicians, foremen, heavy trucks drivers, and machine operators…etc.
Liaison with planning engineers for effective measurement for quantities and preparation of payment certificates.
Project highlight:
Construction of Bolgatanga-Polimakon Road - Ghana - Construction of 116km Surface dressing/asphalt road linking Ghana to Burkina Faso and Togo, starting from Bolgatanga passing through Bawku to Polumakon with three bridges over Kulla, Red Volta and White Volta with deep foundations (end bearing Piles).
Served as Technical expert for detailed design and construction aspects of projects to resolve issues raised by internal team members, client, consulting engineers, and contractors. Prepared detailed installation plans, methodology, processes, and procedures for support of construction team. Assessed timelines for engineering proposals and submissions and checked accuracy of submissions from contractors, vendors, and suppliers for work to be performed. Established procedure and processes to monitor and track engineering related documentation throughout project life cycle. Communicated and collaborated with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.
• Progressed rapidly through roles of increasing responsibility in relation to expertise and growing leadership skills to be appointed Chief Executive Officer CEO, providing diverse range of guidance and management.
• As CEO, delivered valuable guidance and orientation to multi-cultural team consisting of individuals from Bangladesh, Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Korea, as well as Libyan employees.
• Spearheaded introduction of best practices, updated management methods, and instituted daily follow-ups of expenses and works implemented through Primavera, leading to significant improvements to project implementation.
• Analyzed business systems, processes, and project outcomes, and initiated corrective actions to address inflated value of salaries that resulted in 30% saving of company's salary value by optimising available resources.

During that period, I worked as a project manager for the Infrastructure Project of the Sloug city, where QMGI decided to return to Libya and start work again.
During this stage, I supervised the inventory of the previously executed works in the project and the preparation of all contractual documents and the bill of quantities for this project, but due to some legal problems related to the project owner, we were unable to start work.
Appointed as sole engineer based on track record of consistent success in challenging projects, to represent Queiroz Galvao Construction in projects outside of Libya.
Prepared, scheduled, coordinated, and monitored engineering projects, monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. Interacted daily with clients to interpret needs and requirements. Performed overall quality control (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and reported regularly on project status. Assigned responsibilities and mentored project team. Cooperated and communicated effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support. Reviewed engineering deliverables and initiated appropriate corrective actions.
Project highlights:
• Kasoa Interchange and Ancillary Works - Accra, Ghana (08/2016 - 10/2017) - Construction of interchange bridges including construction and paving of 6km asphalt road.
- Selected to supervise and follow-up on all project’s subcontractors, in recognition of high quality of project management and delivery of previous projects.
- Directly supervised construction of four model school buildings, Kasoa village hospital building, and 25km of local roads with pavement treated with hot bitumen.
• NIMA Drain & Densu River Bridge - Accra & Ashalaja, Ghana (11/2014 - 08/2016) - Construction of sewage channel in Nima area 1km long and 5.5m wide, with height of 3m; and concrete bridge 36m length over Densu River at Ashalaja in the greaten Accra regain.
Led relatively small work team of 120 employees, including technicians, operators, and drivers, to complete the NIMA Drain project six months before the handover date, which shortened project time by 20%.
Contacted with planning engineers for effective measurement for quantities and preparation of payment certificates.
Collaborated with engineers, architects, and other role players to determine project specifications. Negotiated contracts with external vendors and obtained permits and licenses from appropriate authorities. Determined resource requirements (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish in line with budgetary limitations. Planned all construction operations and scheduled intermediate phases to meet deadlines. Acquired equipment and material and monitored stocks to pre-empt inadequacies. • Multiple Infrastructure Projects - Almarj, Alabyar, Driana, Aldrsia, ALagurya & Sloug (02/2011 - 11/2014)
Recognised for delivering complex projects within in unstable conditions demonstrating strong crisis management skills while handling infrastructure project for entire city.
• Infrastructure Project - Sloug (08/2008 - 02/2011) - Oversaw planning and project execution for sewage networks, drainage networks, drinking water network, road network, electricity networks, lighting, and communications for city of Sloug (50 km south of Benghazi) over an area of 650 hectares.
- Led team of 500 employees, including engineers, technicians, machine operators, drivers, and ordinary workers.
- Achieved 45% completion before work was halted due to war in Libya in 2011.
In this position, I was responsible for all the projects of the organization, including contracts, offers, implementation, follow-up and closing. Several projects have been implemented, such as the construction of buildings, maintenance of sewage and the construction of new roads within the city of Benghazi.

• Oversaw projects to service administrational buildings for Housing and Infrastructure Board.
One of the tasks of this department is all the procedures related to project contracts, starting from submitting the bid until completing the signing of the contract, and with that, the process of following up the implementation and confirming that the implementation is carried out in accordance with the approved designs and specifications of the project, and the follow-up process continues until the end of the project and closed.
some that projects were managed by my department was water dam in the north of the city of Benghazi and a project to construct 14 ground tanks east of the city of Benghazi with a capacity of one million cubic meters for one tank and many road and building projects inside and around Benghazi city.
The beginning of my career was very wonderful, and I insisted that I learn and know everything in the field of engineering and project implementation, and that I try to apply everything I learned in my studies on the ground.
To achieve this, I worked for most of the engineering departments such as planning, implementation, follow-up and survey quantities counting, which made me at the beginning of my life acquired many engineering skills
The first project I worked on twenty-eight years ago was the project to implement a drinking water network (15 km length) of ductile iron pipes for the village of Al-Mabani, 70 km east of the city of Benghazi.
My job initially was to follow up and direct the work teams according to the project timeline.
After that, for four years, I worked in many different projects from constructing buildings, maintaining buildings and road projects, then I went to specialize in the implementation of road and bridge projects, and I gained good experience in this type of projects through my involvement in various project departments such as planning, implementation, quantities survey and studying new projects.
