My work at STS is revolving around services and support around HP (Hardware, Storage, and Unix) solutions, and Red-Hat Enterprise Linux. I am a part of Infrastructure Business Unit. I am working closely with various governmental institutions to build, monitor and secure reliable infrastructure components. Along with support for mission critical Hardware, Storage, and OS for various telecommunication operators and Multi-national Oil and Gas vendors in Egypt & Middle East, Mega customers including: Orange, Egypt Telecom, TE Data, Orascom, Central Bank, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Investment, and .. . 1- Resposable for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems and networks while insuring their ongoing stability and security. 2- Initial installation, upgrade, Performance Tuning, and routine maintenance of Linux/UNIX systems including (Redhat Linux, BSD, SUN Solaris, and HP-UX) in large computing environments. 3- Support 24x7 mission-critical environments, full change control process systems monitoring and performance analysis, datacenter operation monitoring including off-hours and weekends, Remote system access via VPN for emergency situations. 4- Building infrastructure solutions based on Oracle/HP Servers, Blades, storage, and software solutions: Storage (HP MSA, 3 PAR). Servers and Blades (Sun x86/Sparc, HP ProLiant/Integrity, Sun Blade 6000, and HP BladeSystem c7000). Virtualization (VMware vSphere). Backup Solutions (Net Backup). Hp Software (SM, NNMi, ISPi). Applying Systems Engineer expertise to identify and provide resolutions to technical problems, in a complex information infrastructure environment, with the need to integrate multiple open source solutions.
- Day to day activities included Web, FTP, POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, mysql, DHCP, TCP/IP, Squid, Bash scripting, Expect, SAN/NAS Storage.

- Building, and configuration, Design and implementation of Technical Support Tools: This involved the based back-end to support all services and all issues with all blue zone teams, Including: Remote Access: Ascend, User Authentication: Radius, Mail (SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, and UUCP): Mailbox maintenance, Web: Site maintenance for Unix, Linux and Windows.
- Work closely with peers and internal SMEs to increase my knowledge and resolve customer issues.
- Interface directly with customers and maintain a "closed-loop" communication style that ensures proper and consistent documentation in service request case notes; assuring all appropriate individuals are notified of ongoing issues and problem resolution stat us.

My work at Linux Plus was revolving around services and support around Red-Hat Enterprise Linux. I was part of a small team building network infrastructure, Data Center solutions based on Red-Hat Oracle technologies . I worked closely with various governmental institutions to build and secure reliable infrastructure components. Along with support for mission critical Linux and Solaris based applications for various telecommunication operators and Multi-national Oil and Gas vendors in Egypt & Middle East, Mega customers including Vodafone, Etisalat, Mobinil, TEData, Ericsson, Orascom, CIB, Central-Bank, and Banque Du Caire ... .
- Completed Red Hat System Administration I, II and III, Oracle Unix and Linux Essentials, Solaris 11 System Administration, and LDOM Oracle VM for SPARC official training.

- Delivered professional services (consulting, design, Training & implementation) on behalf of Red Hat, Sun Microsystems, HP.
- Provided on-site support and problem resolution at large data centers of major banks, government and telco operators.

Using diff solutions in our implementations for our Service: Apache Hadoop, GreenPlum, R, Nosql, OpenStack Cloud Solutions andVMware vCloud . The project was sponsored by: EMC2, ITI, Ibtkar, and NTRA Egypt.
- In our project we are offering healthcare solutions to clients and hospitals to stimulate Innovation and Green IT concepts using the Cloud Computing to solve the “Big Data” problems arising from the huge datasets of the healthcare data. And we were able to propose a cloud infrastructure prototype and a “Big Data” solution throughout:
Hardware module: Design and Implement of a powerful, centralized and secure Data-Center using Cloud Computing and Virtualization technologies through implementing a very strong networking infrastructure with high levels of security to ensure a safe connection between the patient/ consumer data entry and our healthcare cloud system to reach, download and update his electronic medical records.
Software module: Design and Implement of a powerful platform using Cloud Computing and big data solutions including:
OpenStack Cloud software.
Apache Hadoop.
Revolution.
GreenPlum.
What I have accomplished in the project include:
Designing and implementing new Big Data technologies using the most powerful toolkits in the market, My passion for data and the ability to analyze everything helped me to guid other fellows to build a reliable architecture and the implementation of EHR (electronic health records) for a number of public and private hospitals in Egypt to share health information. That’s where the Health Information Exchange (HIE) solution comes in.
