Effective daily oversight and leadership of 365/24/7 Network Operation Center (NOC) operations and Engineering team.
• Oversee day-to-day NOC operations, escalations, ticketing, and communications with customers.
• Ensure that NOC operations maintain and, in most cases, exceed what is defined by Service Level Agreements.
• Process and procedure development and documentation.
• Proactive monitoring of systems to continuously improve our managed services.
• Assist with onboarding of new employees, further develop training procedures and provide coaching/guidance to engineering team on a routine basis.
• Manage the troubleshooting of major issues with appropriate monitoring tools and address possible cause.
• Provide performance feedback in a timely fashion, and complete employee performance appraisals on an annual basis.
• Assist in resolving any conflicts within the Engineering team or departments.
• Participate in the interview process for NOC positions
• Communicating and presenting in a professional manner, lead by example.
• Manage infrastructure, working with vendors on maintenance and upkeep of systems.
• Provide senior level guidance for data center operations
• Develop, maintain, and report on bench marking metrics and SLAs associated with infrastructure operations.
• Support management initiatives, and facilitate growth plans accordingly.
Manage team for handling issues related to Incident, Change, Performance, Provisioning and Problem Management
• Responsible for the Shift operation end-to-end and shift handover
• Adherence to processes
• Share and replicate best practices to improve operating quality
• Analyze daily reports
• Coordination with Primary/Backup Shift Manager
• Responsible to manage both the Primary & Backup NOC operations
1) Ensure maximum possible service availability and performance
2) Provision customer network services on core equipment.
