Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the Commercial team & Project Manager in all matters relating to the financial and contractual aspects of the project.
• Preparation of Interim Payment Application and finalizing the Interim Payment Certificate
• Negotiate & follow with Engineer/Employer for certification of Interim Payment Application
• Attend commercial & contractual meeting with Employer representative’s/ Engineer Financial administration
• Carry out change management procedures including preparation of Notice of Variation Claim, Variation Cost Proposal & negotiation with Engineer / Employer
• Laise with the project commercial team in the evaluation and recommendation of entitlement of Contractors claim for review and issuance
• Evaluating the unit rate for new work items and carry out Provision Sum adjustment & Prime cost adjustments to the contract amount
• Preparation of draft internal department financial reports for review by Project manager & Internal Financial audit team.
• Assist the Project manager in Cost forecasting at the completion of milestones to another milestone
• Estimating quantities and cost for new proposals (Fit out works)
• Preparing value engineering proposals
• Pre-contractual works as Preparation of Preliminary estimation, Project Risk Analysis report, Budget estimation, detailed estimation (With Rate Analysis) for Interior design Fit-out Packages
• Evaluating Sub-contractor invoices as per actual work doen at site, preparting of Payment certificates and evaluating Sub-contractor variation works

 Project: Mahakeliya-Kathupotha Road, Sri Lanka

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review all Agreement documents to make sure of Contractor scope of works and its contractual obligation under the Agreement.
• Preparing necesary documents of Sub-contractors (LOI, LOA, Sub-contractor Agreements)
• Follow up on the submission by Contrcator, Sub-contractor of all required bank gurantees, warrentees, insurance and other specific documentation and verifies their acceptability in accodance with the Conditions of Contract
• Check and record measurement of completed works
• Managing the all Sub-contractors and Suppliers involved in the project, preparing all contract documents, evaluate the submitted Invoices as per actual work done at site, prepation of Sub-contratos Payment certificate and evaluating variations.
• Taking off individual measurement & joint measurements.
• Assist the Project manager in preparation of financial statement for monthly cost report
• Attending site all commercial meetings

Pre-Contract

Worked in pre contract stage for multiple discipline projects at the concept stage and at various design development stage, gained vast experience in estimation for multi construction Project-Civil Works. Sound Knowledge in complete structural works, Façade, Fit-Out & Landscaping. Preparation of Preliminary estimation, Project Risk Analysis report, Budget estimation, detailed estimation (With Rate Analysis).

Post-Contract

 Project: Urban Regeneration Project in Mattakuliya - City of Colombo - Phase ii

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out change management procedure on time and giving commercial advice to the Client
• Study and analyze cost related aspects which occur in particular month, draft Cost Report and present to the Client
• Attending meetings and addressing concerns raised by stakeholders
• Reviewing and advising clients on contractual matters, as well as costs associated with potential and approved variations.
• Assesses newly submitted Contractor claims for validity; coordinates with the other project teams to identify potential claims.
• Negotiates and settles claims; assist to prepare necessary letters and transmittals to be issued in respect of claims or potential claims
• Supervising timely assessment and issuance of payment certificates as part of the interim valuation process
• Preparing the Final Certificate upon receiving the written Discharge after assessing of Contractor draft final statement.
• Provide support to the client in contractual negotiations
• Preparing and implementing commercial procedures, and producing forms and templates
• Monitor correspondence for commercial issues and initiate commercial correspondence
