Duties and responsibilities included assisting the rig mechanic/chief engineer with the upkeep of machines and also daily maintenance of the rigs main diesel engines, rig compressors, fuel and oil purifiers, preventative maintenance and planned maintenance, the rigs main three life boats and the complete drilling equipment.
