1- Reviews contractor RFIs Clarifications, Design Verification, Calculations, Studies,
Claims, Change Requests, and calculations submittals and coordinates with the
work of the other disciplines.
2- Approval of Technical Material Submittals, Pre-qualifications, Method Statement,
Drawings (Shop, Coordination, Composed and As-Built drawings)
3- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations.
4- Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary
during construction phases.

6- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
7- Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth.
8- Familiarity with detailed Testing & Commissioning Procedures.
9- Awareness with quality management systems in engineering design.

1- Preparing Work plans and follow up with the site team to ensure work is ongoing
as per the plan.

drawings, Load calculations, Material approvals...etc

Tasks and Duties
Detailed responsibilities for Electrical Works Design:
1- Perform the electrical power calculations, Load Flow, Short circuit, Voltage drop and lux calculations, Panelboards schedules and single line diagrams, Cables and Raceways sizing, and discrimination and coordination of electrical networks with sizing of all parts of the networks like Circuit breakers, Panelboards, Motors, Uninterruptible power supplies, Standby generators in parallel operation, Transformers and Substations using electrical simulation software (ETAP, Ecodial, Dialux etc.) and hand calculations if required.
2- Prepare shop drawings, coordination with other disciplines engineers, coordination drawings for MEP works and as-built drawings for all electrical works using autocad.
3- Selection of materials, components, devices and equipment, Comparison of Suppliers proposals, preparing technical submittal according to projects specifications, B.O.Q and standards, following up approvals with projects consultants, prepare procurement documents and supervising electrical equipment factory tests.
4- Quantities Survey, preparing projects revised bill of quantities, invoicing for main, sub-contractors and Material suppliers.
5- Reporting to Projects Manager and Coordinating with Construction managers for work plans.
Detailed responsibilities for Electrical Works Execution:
1- Prepare Materials and Quantities Take-off’s for Scheduled Electrical Works.
2- Review approved Shop Drawings, Load Schedules, Calculations and Single Line Diagrams and Project Documents and provide Site Inspectors and Sub-Contractors with the final Drawings and documents for electrical work execution.
3- Follow up and ensure the Electrical work carried out is as per approved shop drawing and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.
4- Coordinate Electrical Engineering activities in the Site with other disciplines’ Engineers.
5- Prepare and submit RFI’s to the Project consultant for electrical installations, Review the Carried-out work and then Follow up the Consultant Comments and Requirements.
6- Implement the contract documents requirements, such as design drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities, contract conditions, on site.

-Selection of materials, components, devices and equipment, prepare material takeoffs, preparing technical submittal according to projects specifications and standards, following up approvals with projects consultants.
-Study, revise Tenders, Do the Required Load Estimation, Quantity Survey, Pricing Tenders and Cost Breakdown.
-Revise the Team Work Electrical Calculations, Shop drawings and As-built Drawings and follow up the work progress.

Tasks and Duties
My responsibility was Supervising and executing electrical works in residential and housing developments, buildings — single and multi-story, infrastructure. the Electrical systems executed are Lighting, Power, Grounding, Data and Telephone, Intercom, MATV. The Tasks and Duties I was doing in the project was:
1-Material coordination and close interaction with Consultants for Approval of material submittal, Approval of working drawings and as built drawings.
2- Reviewing approved Shop Drawings, Load Schedules, Calculations and Single Line Diagrams and Project Documents and provide Site Inspectors and Sub-Contractors with the final Drawings and documents for electrical work execution.
3- Prepare Materials and Quantities Take-off’s for Scheduled Electrical Works Like Boxes, Conduits, Wires, cables, Wiring devices, Lighting Fixtures, Grounding system components and Panelboards.
4- Coordinate with site inspectors to check the ongoing project status and progress.
5- Reports directly to the Senior Electrical Engineer and to Site Construction Manager to receive administrative and technical direction in terms of project objectives.
6- Follow up and ensure the Electrical work carried out is as per the contract in accordance with applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications, budget and within the time frame and progress of the approved construction program.
7- Monitoring and inspection of on-site electrical installation activities, and testing and commissioning as needed.
8- Coordinate Electrical Engineering activities in the Site with other disciplines’ Engineers to Overcome work obstacles.
9-Prepare and submit RFI’s to the Project consultant for each work divisions (first fix, second fix and Third fix), Review the Carried-out work and then Follow up the Consultant Comments and Requirements.
10- Supervises on-site construction testing of electrical equipment/systems performed by the Suppliers and/or testing of equipment/systems in the factory and provides Section Head with detailed test reports.
11- Interfaces with Engineering Department staff, End Users and client representatives for Handing over Their Residential Units.

The Work was carried out by two Sub-Contractors with at least 30 electricians supervised and monitored by two site inspectors reporting to us.

This Group Contains of 74, 6 story Residential Apartment Buildings classified to prototypes 300 and 400, 500, 600 and 700.I was responsible for Completing the second and third fix of the electrical Installations in 24 of the 74 buildings. I Completed the remaining works of wiring and Cables installations, Installation of Wiring devices, Lighting Fixtures, HVAC Equipment power supply, Panelboards, grounding system, Testing and commissioning of the following systems Lighting, Power, Grounding, Data System, MATV and Intercom Systems. Handing over the residential apartments to the clients, receiving their requirements and comments, Finalizing the requirements and completing the handing over process. The Work was carried out by two Sub-Contractor with at least 20 electricians supervised and monitored by two site inspectors reporting to us.
