MAJOR PROJECTS INVOLVED:
I have experience in educational, industrial and commercial projects.
I have worked in construction of new School buildings of project value of $ 3 million.
Previously involved in Residential building projects of which the project value of range
from $ 1 million to 10 million.
Involved in construction of new Bank building, Projects value of $ 2 million.
Involved in estimating various commercial, residential and industrial projects for
Tendering.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take receipt of all relevant documents including main contract and project tender file
which should include: bill of quantities, tender drawings, specifications, site
investigation reports, exploded selling preliminaries, cost of Bill of Quantities,
exploded cost preliminaries. Review these documents in detail and highlight any
matters that need attention with the Project Manager.
Obtain all proposed sub-contract documentation which will include pre-contract
meeting agenda, letter of intent, short form of contract, long form of contract, etc.
Convene a pre-contract meeting for each sub-contract appointment. Ensure the
relevant people from both the Company and the sub-contractors organizations are in
attendance.
Identify any variations arising from the ongoing works and make the Employer’s
Representative aware of same on a regular basis
Assist in any cost / value engineering exercises and will suggest ways of improving
profitability
Produce a monthly internal valuation to accurately reflect the true value of the work
completed to the end of the given period.
Prepare a monthly cost report which will accurately reflect the budget and costs to the
end of a given period. This report will also show the anticipated final account and the
projected final cost.
