Content: The main aim of this project is to analyse the effect of cutting forces on the deflection of the tool using FEM. Theoretical deflection calculations are based on assumptions like, the tool cross section uniform throughout and cutting force alone is considered. Which is not in reality. In FEA the steriometric details of the tool is taken in to account and the forces (cutting, feed and thrust) can also be applied together. Therefore analysis using FEM gives more accurate details
